>”Ethan,
my mini did a double boot as well. I’ve never experienced that before.”
I had a double boot as well (PPC G5), so it’s good to know it’s normal, or at least not an isolated incident. No problems thus far. Double boots are normal on some updates 10.4.9 double booted as well. I just didn’t see anywhere in the 10.4.10 release notes where it mentioned this.
After this update Vista seems much more sluggish.

@Peter
My MacPro goes to 11. It’s got a dial right on the front. I had to order it special. Even with Apple BTO, they only go to 10.
Crud! I did the combo update to 10.4.10 on my g4 sawtooth, and now I’ve got no internet connection to my dsl modem. Well, the modem thinks that everything’s fine, and I *can* access it if I boot into my old OS 9, which is what I’m doing right now. But from OS X? Nothing. Rrrr…
Is it possible to downgrade one’s system? What would happen if I run the 10.4.9 combo updater on top of my 10.4.10? Or should I just do a clean install from the original Tiger disks at this point, and then restore my files from my external backup?
