Apple debuts new iPhone ad (with video)

Several MacDailyNews readers are reporting the airing of a new iPhone ad (the 4th) focusing on Safari’s internet browsing capabilities in detail.

This is not a watered down version of the Internet. Or the mobile version of the Internet. Or the kinda sorta looks like the Internet. It’s just the Internet… [ring] …on your phone.

  1. ince I am only able to use Safari on my  iPhone – does this mean that I will have to put up with all the friggen ads – since I cannot use PithHelmet or Stand or SAFT or better yet, FIREFOX?

I’d imagine you could always use RSS feeds to avoid ads.

  2. Since I am only able to use Safari on my  iPhone – does this mean that I will have to put up with all the friggen ads – since I cannot use PithHelmet or Stand or SAFT or better yet, FIREFOX?

safari blocks ads better than firefox, i dont have any problem with ads at all with safari.
but be my guest and get a fucking blackberry. see how you like that browsing experience.

  3. I think the point the ad is making is excellent, and that this is generally a good ad. But I don’t like the slightly pregnant pause at the beginning where he says:

    This is not a…[pregnant pause]…watered down version…

And I’m not usually picky about these sorts of things. It just seems odd. Yes, I know it’s done for emphasis, but it somehow doesn’t seem to work.

And I think all of the plucking in the music runs the risk of stepping on the voice over and distracting from it. They should mix the music just a tad lower and eq some of the brightness out of it.

  4. when on apple’s iphone page with all the ads listed, the page does not load properly in safari, but it’s fine in firefox. i get no pictures in safari for some reason?? Also, the thing about the 2 year contract has now been removed from all the adverts

  5. These ads are freaking brilliant. People at work are talking about it for the first time. It’s definitely having a huge impact. One guy said one of the commercials boggled his mind and that now he and his wife must have one. How and the hell am I going to get one the first day now???? UGH!!!
