TIME Magazine has published a photo essay, “Al Gore’s American Life,” which shows former U.S. Vice President and current Apple Inc. Board of Directors member Al Gore’s personal computer setup which features no less than three 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Displays which are each capable of 2560 x 1600 resolution:

MacDailyNews Take: Obviously, Gore enjoys (screen) real estate, but you’d think that massive monitor setup would help Gore achieve something much closer to a paperless office (see full image). Three 30″ monitors is roughly 6.8 feet long. That’s plenty of room for a high-res, life-size photo of Gabriel Reece on her side. Forget the Drudge Report.

Al Gore has no control over this, but I find it ironic that the 3 pages of comments here represent a LOT of time spent by all of us, and each one of OUR computer set-ups was on while we read these pages and posted our comments. Add THOSE monitors (some of them energy using CRTs to the mix and that’s a LOT of greenhouse gas!

All politicians are hypocrites. ALL OF THEM. If they would tell the truth, you would not vote for them. How can you please everybody when your interests conflict directly with those of next person. Air America is the perfect example that the country is right-leaning, not left-leaning. Conservative talk radio hosts have never been bigger in the country, yet Air America is out of business. Not even in San Francisco, the bastion of “liberalism” did Air America do anything. Heck, Michael Savage, the “right wing nut case,” is #1 on the dial there.
So, the “liberals” who claim to be for individual freedoms have become the fascists they claim the Republicans are. Or is it that the one-world socialists have always infiltrated the liberals and used them to get to where they are today. All I can say is beware where this is taking our country. Now he comes out of his 8 years of Clintonomic administration, portraying himself as the epitome of environment conservation and savior of global warming, when he did squat for the environment while at the White House and did nothing to drive or enforce a valuable law for the benefit of the planet, taking into account, that the US is responsible for the 25% of all carbon emissions in the world. Gore wiped his fat sorry ass with the Kyoto Initiative.
Ah, I forgot… each of those 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Display consume 150 watts of energy per hour, the same as the most consuming home light bulb offered in the market. In all, this socialist moron (who lives like a rich MTF and wastes energy like the Sha of Persia) is consuming 450 watts of energy per hour, or 3.600 watts per day trying to impress and convince all of us that his cluttered-paper yard desk somehow will benefit from his environmental energy saving approach of powering 3 massive monitors capable of consuming the same energy as a hospital operating room.
