  1. TO: Room 801

They’re rebuilding shake, using Motions codebase.

I don’t know if they’ll call it Motion Pro or Shake. Or something else.

Can’t remember when it’s supposed to ship, but my bets are on the “release with FCS 3” at the next NAB.

I’m just wondering will the price tag be closer to $499 of Shakes or $4999.

  2. As far as Shake goes, it will probably come out along with FCS 3. I believe it will be bundled in and the price of FCS 3 will probably go up a couple hundred bucks. Something like $1499. But this will send shockwaves through the industry just like Color will do this year.

  3. The User Interface unreliability manifests itself as failed redraws on meters and floating dialogs like the transport in Logic.
These appear fixed after this update.

This update does nothing for Safari. WebKit updates are the panacea for that, and the nightlies are miles ahead of the official release of Safari.

  4. Jeff,

When you say “But this will send shockwaves through the industry just like Color will do this year”, please explain what Color is that you’re talking about. A program or what?
    Thank you.
