“A new seed of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard found its way to developers hands last week sporting a number of improvements over previous builds,” Think Secret reports.
“In terms of notable version changes, build 9A377a, released late Thursday, offers a first glimpse at the new AirPort Utility 5.0, a new Sharing preferences pane, and further improvements to the Address Book. System Preferences has also been curiously bumped to version 5.0 for the first time, suggesting Apple may skip 4.0 entirely (Mac OS X 10.4’s System Preferences is listed as version 3.5),” Think Secret reports.
Think Secret reports, “Apple developers also appear to have made significant progress in other areas of Leopard. Stability seems markedly improved from earlier builds and new aspects of the operating system, such as the QuickLook feature for viewing images and video directly in the Finder, are considerably faster (and, for the first time, faster than simply launching Preview or QuickTime).”

That made me laugh to myself for some reason.
I just can’t see this getting released in March – unless the “secret” features are really trivial, low-level stuff that won’t require wider testing by beta users. And if that were the case, I don’t think Steve would have made such a big deal about them…

Hm. I’m running 10.4.8. My System Preferences says it is version 3.3, not 3.5. Is it only 3.5 in the 10.4.9 seed?
Well, a nicer feature in 10.5 is that you can actually drag the tabs around and re-order them. Granted, that’s been available in other browsers, but it’s about time to feature it in Safari.

Please, Bouldergeek. You may not personally like Safari, but after IE and Firefox, it is the most popular browser out there. That’s right – Safari is the 3rd most popular browser in use.

I hope they implement Beryl. That is awesome. Check it out on Google or on youtube for a live demo. It completely rocks and almost makes me want to install Gentoo Linux on my machine to use it. It’s that sweet.
I agree with rasterbator evry time think secret does a gallery it’s like watching paint dry. Either stop serving this info from your laptop via a 56k modem or process your images properly. I think you guys are doing this in photoshop 3
