“Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) is expected to ship 3.2 million notebooks in 2007, as it has added Apple Computer and Lenovo to its list of notebook clients, according to the Taiwan-based Topology Research Institute (TRI), as cited by the Chinese-language Commercial Times,” Rodney Chan reports for DigiTimes.

3.6 mln MacBooks for 2007.
Apple also has Quanta and Asustek as mfrs, so FoxConn would not be the only mfr. I’m not sure which does both iPods and Macs, which are Mac only, which are iPod only.
I wonder if the FoxConn contract is for more of the same notebooks, or if it is for the new rumored subnotebook.
Adding another contractor for notebooks indicates a growth in sales for Mac notebooks — good news.
