C’mon. The Nintendo DS is a piece of crap compared to the PSP. Terrible, clunky design.
Once you watch an H264 vid on the PSP, there’s just no going back. It’s gorgeous.
No question: Nike+ iPod Kit. MacBooks are nice, but I don’t think any laptop really qualify for “gadget” status. About the only ingenious/novel thing on the MacBook is the built-in camera.

I almost voted for the MacBook Pro until I remembered what DS Lite stood for. Let’s face it people, a vote for the MacBook Pro is a vote for Al-Qaeda. You want us getting hit with terrorist attacks once a week? That’s what we’ll get if we usher in MacBook Pro’s San Francisco values. MacBook Pro doesn’t even have a plan for Iraq. You can’t beat the insurgency with harsh criticism.

I think the iMac Intel Core Duo was more ground breaking than the Macbook Pro or any other items on this list. I don’t care how big it is, it’s my favorite gadget.

I’m as big a Mac fan as anyone here, but clearly the MacBook Pro shouldn’t even be in the running here. Maybe the MacBook, but honestly when I think “Gadget” I don’t think laptop.

If you’re having problems with Safari (I know I did), just turn off the ‘Block Pop-up Windows’ for the voting page. All will be fine. That being said, what the hell is this Nintendo device? Is it something anyone over the age of 15 would know about…?
The DS Lite just got my vote too for the “gadget” of the year. I probably would have voted for Apple if we were voting for the “widget” of the year.

love my apple products, but of that list, my vote goes to the DS lite. great little handheld with lots of innovative games (and to respond to the guy a few posts up, i’m 25, so yeah, people over 15 know about it).
i suppose the wii doesn’t count as a “gadget”, otherwise i imagine it would top the list.

I actually feel a bit bad for the DS–it really is a great gadget!
Surprised how little love the NIke iPod kit is getting. Out of all the choices, it is by far the most innovative and the neatest one. Even the DS lite is just a well done jack of all trades at a great price, but nothing really innovative about it as such.
I don’t even run, but think the NikePod is about as cool a gadget as they make right now.
Well I didn’t think the MBP stood a chance, but after MDN updated the article I cast a vote and officially pushed it over the DS Lite by 2%. This would be great exposure for the MacBook, help keep the momentum going.
