Intel’s new ‘Multiply’ ads made with Apple Macs

Intel has debuted a new television ad, “Multiply,” and also posted a behind-the-scenes video about the making of their new ad campaign which showcases Apple Mac hardware and Apple software being used to create Intel’s new effects-laden ad campaign.

Rich in imagery and brilliant in effects, these commercial films multiply the power of video technology. – Intel

I know WMP is no longer in development for the Macintosh but I’ve still yet to see a WMP file that won’t play using the old player. Anyone have a link to a video that won’t work with WMP and requires Flip4Mac to play?

  2. Ugh. Just watched the making of. I used to work for the Agency guy. Major douchebag.

Meanwhile, the ads are pretty weak (but so are the iPod ads and these are similar) and if I’m not mistaken (and I sometimes am) there are no production Macs with Core 2 Duo are there? So these must have been made with a regular Core Duo?

  3. I don’t think this is that big of a deal. Most likely the ad agency that Intel hired to do the video uses Macs anyway, so it’s not like Intel themselves sat down bought a bunch of Macs and whipped these ads out.

I do think it’s interesting that the content of the ad is more Apple-like.
