Anonymous Apple employee leaks WWDC secrets?

“We’re not in the Apple rumor mill business here at DVD Newsroom. Frankly, I don’t care about the next gen iPods,” Senor Spielbergo reports for DVD Newsroom. “But when it comes to all things Blu-ray, we’re interested [and] when rumors of the iChat Mobile surfaced, our spy contacted his Apple Confidante to talk about that and Blu-ray rumors. The transcript of our spy’s phone call, including talk of Powermacs and WWDC news, is [included the full article.] The spy on this story is a known source and the Apple Confidante’s employment has been verified.”

No iPhone… yet, build-to-order Blu-ray drives in Apple Macs by January 2007, Mac Pros in October/November, strong focus on iChat, “Front Row goes TiVo,” Microsoft’s Zune: “Everyone will love a product with a ½ hour battery life,” “Apple Tablet” rumors, and more, including discussion of Leopard features in the full article here.

  1. Interesting, but the story sounds fishy. Also, Apple changes daily in what products will go public. Even if any of these were true, they all could change tomorrow as the consumer demand changes.

  2. “‘I’m assuming that “iChat support” in the monitors means that they will start coming with iSight cameras built into the bezel, ala the iMac.”

Probably a safe bet. The scary thing: Will Apple introduce yet another display connector which puts DVI and Firewire into one connector?

Let’s see…we’ve had ADA and ADC…ADE? Apple Display Environment?

  3. build-to-order Blu-ray drives in Apple Macs by January 2007

    YOU SEE I TOLD YOU!!

Just so happens the Kentsfield Quad processor is going to be released around January as well.

Dual Quads w/optional BlueRay DVD, that’s my new puppy.

    FSCK DUAL DUAL CORE XEONS

Apple is selling these to sucker in the early adopters and make a ton of cash. Don’t go for it. It’s only slightly more powerful than a PPC Quad and you have to wait forever for software to appear.

HEY ADOBE!! YOU LEARN X-CODE YET? LaMe Asses.

Wow. I guess Apple has a stockpile of products fully developed and ready to go, just waiting to see what “consumer demand” dictates. Then, I suppose, at any given time, Apple will drop the right new product in our (the public’s) fishbowl, sparking a feeding frenzy?

    Yeah, that does sound fishy.

  5. geeee… just wait for another few days and hear it for yourself! New iSight is my guess… and I have no connection to Apple. I also don’t think that iPhone will be introduced in a Developer’s gathering. I think iPhone will be announced just before Thanksgiving.
