Probably just some updates to the existing products, like maybe processor or RAM upgrades to Intel Macs.
The boombox gathering got bad reception from the press, and no gathering was called for the macbook… I think that this could be anything at all, little or big.
One thing’s for sure: you never know WTF Apple’s going to do.

Maybe I should hold off on my trip to the Apple Store on Michigan Avenue. I was planning on heading over there over lunch at Noon CDT.
According to my sources. We’ll see an update to the MacBook line (No glossy screens.) And of course we’ll see OS X Available for all Intel based machines, no longer just for Mac’s. Also, the iMac will be declared EOL (end of life) and the companys stock should plummit.

The thing with apple is that with their simplified line-up any changes in their products seem to be much more noticeable than with other manufacturers. Irrespective of quality, with a company like Dell you know they’ll have a more rolling progression in their specs and prices so that no matter what you know that if you buy something now, there will be something marginally better next week. I’ve been holding off on an iMac since before their anniversay on the off-chance something else would be released, then for price drops, now WWDC. I just keep putting it off and putting it off. I know I won’t be disappointed either way but even so it’s just annoying when you buy something then they upgrade it just outside your safety zone.

I don’t know if this is new or not, but if you go to the refurbished store they now have ipod’s bundled with a free accessory. They’re offering a free armband or battery pack with the shuffle, or a free dock with an iPod.

Apple removed all mentions of “laptop” from their store. All portables are now always referred to as “notebooks” or by their product name. This must be related to Apple’s ongoing heat issues with their portable lineup – Apple must not want people to think that they manufacture “laptops”.

Luke- Apple has only referred to their laptops as ‘Portables’ or ‘Notebooks’ for years. The heat issue is nothing new.
I stand corrected. But Apple did remove a mention of using your MacBook “on your lap” from their “student orientation” part of their site. See:

It turns out nothing was added to the US store (or any others for that matter), but the EU Apple stores had things removed. You can no longer get iSights, eMacs or Airport base stations in the EU because they do not comply with stricter environmental laws in the member countries. Thanks to everyone in the comments for pointing this out.
