  1. Poop, auto proxy config script still crashes Safari. Back to manual proxy config for me… Not the end of the world, just would be nice if it worked.

Also, the image bug reported on MDN a few days ago where certain jpeg images can crash Safari, Finder, Preview, etc. hasn’t been fixed either.

    But it feels Snappier™! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

Oh, and when you repair permissions now, no exceptions come up, it just says permissions repair completed (unless you have actual permissions problems of course). No more false positives.

  2. Note:

If you use iSync, you should perform a full sync with your devices before installing this update. Mac OS X 10.4.6 Update includes a later version of iSync with several improvements. For more information and before-you-install steps, see iSync 2.2: Read before updating to Mac OS X 10.4.6 or later, or before first sync.

I dragged the cursor over the docked icons and sure enough magnification was not happening. However, by increasing/decreasing the size of the dock items using the dock’s size bar (between app section and Trash) maginification came back.

  4. *update: just read the extended release notes and it says this: “With the Mac OS X 10.4.6 system software update, PowerPC-based Macs will restart twice, instead of once, after the initial installation.”

  5. Hey anyone else notice that running a permission repair now doesn’t show all the “we are using special permissions” crap which makes it hard to actually see if anything was wrong? Now it only lets us know if anything is amiss in permissions. Super ha!!!
