RUMOR: Apple to debut iPod ‘Hi-Fi’ Boombox this Tuesday

“Among the products Apple will debut at next Tuesday’s media event will be the iPod ‘Hi-Fi’ boombox, reliable sources have informed Think Secret. Details are scarce but sources have indicated the product will deliver unique capabilities beyond what today’s third-party docking speaker systems offer,” Ryan Katz reports for Think Secret.

“Apple’s media event will begin at 9:00 a.m. PT on February 28 and take place in the Apple Town Hall on the company’s campus,” Katz reports.

  1. If this is all that Apple has to demo on Tuesday then their stock price is going to drop about $10 by the end of the day. A boom box is nice but so what! Just how many people actually use a boombox anymore? It is the type of accessory that I think Apple should leave to the 3rd party vendors.

  2. I think Apple caught Think Secret’s source. His information has been either wrong or just rehashing old news. I bet when Apple sued him they suspected who it who was feeding him information, but need the lawsuit to prosecute the source. They didn’t get to prosecute but obviously fixed the leak.
