“With many traders still away for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Wall Street was set to open flat or slightly weaker on Friday in what is traditionally one of the lightest trading sessions of the year after the Thanksgiving holiday,” Pan Kwan Yuk reports for The Financial Times. “The market was closed on Thursday and will be closing early on Friday.”
Pan Kwan Yuk reports, “Among stocks to watch, Apple Computer rose 0.9 per cent in pre-market trading to $67.11 as demand for its iPods continued to soar. Bulls were expecting a strong sales season for Apple, after online retailer Amazon said the much sought after digital music players figured prominently in its list of its top-selling holiday items for the first three weeks of November.”

Why can’t they do the Black Friday discounts in the UK

Why can´t they have Thanksgiving Thursday in the UK

If Steve doesn’t blow our sox off with an Intel this and an Intel that and one more insanely great thing at MacWorld, I wouldn’t want to be holding Apple’s stock that I picked up at these prices.
Big Al – what are u talking about? U couldn´t even afford a shareof Apple stock. Buy Microsoft – its only $24 a share.
And besides Apple stock is not going up because of Apple´s computer business – it is the iPod biz movin the price.
You can have Thanksgiving in the UK Binky! Pick some indigenous species because it’s kinda ugly, and kinda so stupid that it can drown in the rain, has wings, but doesn’t know what they’re for, raise them as pets all year, then the whole country takes one day off to kill and eat them. Fun fun fun. Then the next day you celebrate the mass slaughter by having sales on iPods.
Sounds like a freaking Star Trek plot and I wish Kirk would come down and destroy the computer that actually controlling us, but alas, I think this is all just us.
On Thanksgiving, and other major holidays, there’s no MDN, so I hang out on MacFixIt. Did you guys know there’s a ton of stuff that just doesn’t work on these Macs?
I sometimes visit MacInTouch. I know where all the angry Mac users hang out now. I think that’s where the class action law suit lawyers hang.
Sometimes I bop over to AppleLinks.com. You can learn to manage your widgets over there, and there’s an article on knitting yourself a pair of iPod mittens.
When I finally come to the conclusion that there isn’t going to be any Mac news, I (gasp) go read *real* news.
Boy is that an eye opener. One second my biggest problem is that my 30″ monitor might be just a bit too small, and then I read google news. Oh man is the world screwed up or what?
I need MDN and nice fluffy unimportant Mac news to fill my fat head with.
Up-Down-In-Out, sounds rather porno to me.

What’s to be thankful for in uk land?
You can be thankful that you aren´t French!
You can be thankful that 200 years ago all we did was kick your asses out of our new country — and that we didn’t sail over and take your little pissant kingdom over, too!
We decided not to when we all realized how bad your English cooking was.
Go APPL!
AAPL is actually over $69 now…
The stock is kickin’ the stuff is movin’ and MWSF 2006 is just around the corner. If you think Steve Jobs is going on stage without a rabbit to pull out of his hat at the keynote, you are crazy. The stock will undoubtedly rise over December and after MWSF Keynote announcements. It’s a good time to own Apple stock.
Here’s how I work it, holidays or no holidays:

You can be thankful that the All Blacks didn’t beat England by more than 50 points last Saturday

Incidently, Graham Henry the All Black coach uses a Power Book while he is watching the game sitting in the stands.I think it is a 17inch but I can’t quite tell.Watch the All Blacks play/thrash the Scots at Murrayfield this Saturday and see if you can spot the Apple logo on his laptop when the cameras are looking at him.

Market Cap…
Maybe Apple will buy Sun. For years and years people said Sun would buy Apple. Now Apple can dig through the couch and find enough change to pick Sun up. Market cap =13.3B.
Share price… THREE DOLLARS AND NINETY CENTS!
Hell, I may sell my house and buy Sun. I could have my own computer company.
