  1. “Cool, good things come to those who wait. Now what about video chat!!”

    I agree!

Why these halflings all the time? MSN, WMP and Skype, all amputated and late on Mac!

It´s a bit frustrating, but ignoring these apps wont help, as they might dissapear all together. Now, I dont care much for the M$ apps, but I like the ability to have them on a virus free environment.

Now better times lay ahead of us, as the porting of apps will probably be easier with an Intel inside…

Yeah, maybe… but I’d like to see what the WinDoze version of a Dashboard Widget looks like !!

  3. Skype is way cool. It is Mac-like enough for most windows users to figure out so you can talk them into doing it. It was almost impossible to convince lower power windozers to go thru the rigamarole to set up for voice or video over AIM so you could connect with iChat.

So if they come out with video for skype, windozers will finally be able to get to where Mac users have been for a while in ease of use in video conferencing – right on time two years later ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

I imagine it would look very much like a Konfabulator widget available freely on Yahoo. And Konfabulator came first.

On the plus side I have to say that Skype has been very good at keeping the Windows, Linux and OS X versions of Skype exactly on par. I commend them.

  5. iChat AV works ok with AIM Windows user at the other end, however there is usually a few seconds delay, and we’re both on decent dsl with newish machines. MSN Messenger cannot Mac to Windows (or vice versa) video chat.

Skype’s VOIP is pretty darn good. Fingers crossed for Skype video some time soon…
