Apple Store Danbury Fair Mall, Connecticut popular with customers

“Sitting on a black squishy ball chair, Alex Dolan, 16, played games on an Apple computer, enjoying the hip and interactive atmosphere of the new Apple Store at the Danbury Fair mall. Later, he looked at the eMac, a computer that has a faster processor and more memory than the iMac he has had since sixth grade. ‘It is pretty cool you can try stuff out,’ said Dolan, a Newtown High School junior,” Heather Barr reports for The News-Times.

“The store, which opened Oct. 30, is the second Apple Store in Connecticut. The other is at Westfarms Mall in West Hartford. It is the 95th store in the country. The first Apple Store opened in May 2001 in Virginia. Some 500 people waited in line for the Danbury store to open. Apple Store manager Kendra Telhiard, 35, of Bethel, arrived at 8 a.m. for its 10 a.m. opening and saw the line. Some mall-goers who saw the crowds wondered if someone famous was there, she said… The Danbury Apple Store is open Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.,” Barr reports.

  1. I live about 20 minutes from the Westfarms store and an hour away from Danbury. I can’t imagine the stores being too different, so no real point to visit Danbury.

I still can’t get over the fact Connecticut has 2 stores. one is a surprise, but 2 is amazing to me.

  2. About time Danbury started looking up. I was born there and when they build that stupid mall that left Danbury with mud on their face. At one time downtown was a ghost town cause of the mall. It suck the life out of Danbury and the POLICE basicly ran the young people out of town. So good for Danbury this might be a start of something good.Do more for the young people Danbury and not for the pockets of your office people, like the mayor, F@#KIN police, and that sorry newpaper you call the newstime. That the only paper that I know that put DWI in the paper to embarrass the people who are trying to have a good time in their small lives in your sad town.DO these Danbury get rid of all the packages store that on almost every corner in the hood.Give the people something to do like midnight basketball or good night school to learn to better the people.DO SOMETHING DANBURY. I’m sorry I got off the wrong topic. Danbury is nice place with bad people behind close doors.

  3. I HATE+DELL:

Did someone get busted in Danbury? What were you doing? Drunk and disorderly? Touching farm animals? What? ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />

  4. They need to open one in the Stamford Mall, or Greenwich Avenue, or Westport! That’s where all of the money is in CT! I run my very successful medium sized with 65 Macs running OS X.

  5. No never got busted. But you the one talking about farm animals. Maybe you like it. Remember people who live in glass houeses shouldn’t throw stones. With a name like MACMONKEY Ha Ha go ahead spank that monkey , who you daddy who your daddy.
