Steve’s presence speaks volumes about what Apple expects from this store. I would imagine that there will plenty of media coverage for the next 5 days. Then reports of the volume of visitors will cause AAPL to jump upward, as rumors of slow sales will have been effectively dispelled.
Being fat is not synonymous with health. In fact, the opposite is true. Look at Jobs’ color. He looks better in these photos than he did a year ago. Looks like he took off some weight. Maybe doing some cardio perhaps?

Just walked by ‘da Cube’ the weather in NYC has been insane today sun then torrential downpours. There were about 60 people in line from my estimates, but the sun was just coming out again. I am sure that those who sought shelter will come back for the opening.

From the Flickr set, I like IMG 4472 and 4469 – It looks like he’s saying “See, I told you this Cube would be beautiful” – seems very pleased with it.
In some of the photos he doesn’t look like he is at his healthiest, but being the CEO of Apple is not exactly a stress-free job.
Jamie, a small number of cancer cases are actually curable. It often depends on early detection and treatment. Steve said he had the rare form of pancreatic cancer that was curable if detected early (which he said it had been).
Maybe he’s just overworked.
Too thin? He’s lookin’ pretty good.

Crude remark? Why do people like you always take offense so easily? Honestly, grow up. Fast. All-knowing? When did I say, or even suggest that? As far as I am concerned I gave an opinion.
I wasn’t being crude, I was pointing out that he has had a major illness and if he looks thin it could well be the reason. Remarks like “He is looking a little Cancerish though” posted above what I wrote seem to go down well with you and cause no offense, but me pointing out that he has a disease that is NOT cureable and asking people to just show a bit of compassion (albeit in an English way – direct and quite abrupt) seems to have annoyed you enough to spout your little remarks and judge me. If you knew what I’d been through you’d know I was not being crude, just angry at some of the comments posted.

Cancer is not cureable, it goes into remission – which is where Steve is today. If Steve has been ‘cured’ of cancer he is the first in the world to have done so, and needs to share the secret with everyone else in the world with cancer. I’d love to be cured.
