“Every year, Apple airs a new ad in the U.S. for Thanksgiving,” Romain Dillet reports for TehcCrunch.
“Compared to other Apple ads,” Dillet reports, “this is less about showing product features and more like a greeting card.”
“This year is no different — you still see a lot of AirPods,” Dillet reports. “Apple’s new ad is called ‘Sway’ and takes place in the streets of Prague. A woman starts playing Sam Smith’s ‘Palace’ on her white iPhone X with her AirPods.”
MacDailyNews Note: That’s a silver iPhone X.

MacDailyNews Take: According to Dillet, the two dancers featured in Apple’s spot are married in real life.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Apple is the fscking boss.
How can they be so happy knowing Apple doesn’t build in Black or Hispanic neighborhoods…?
Anyhow, Happy Thanksgiving, America.
(and here’s some Sway for my leftist friends feeling down for over a year now!)
You should look again. Apple has built in places that other retailers wouldn’t dream of. For example- in Chicago there was a stop on the L that even the city just bordered over and wouldn’t stop. Apple bought the land and built a store and re-opened the train stop. Now it’s a thriving area again.
Or maybe you should look again, since my reference was to a fake news story covered by MDN

TT, your wisdom, humor, and intelligence are all lost hopelessly among the regressives here.
Thanks Twi, and good to hear from you.
So I could hold and almost make out with a complete stranger on the streets, because I bumped into them – because of a song and AirPods?
Stupid Ad.
I typically like Apple ads – even last year’s Frankenstein ad was pretty good.
This one? What it has to do with Christmas love or cheer or goodwill towards others? None. Just an infatuation fantasy of a gal wearing AirPods…
This is way better than the Frankenstein ad!!
And as a long-time Apple customer, this stuff happens to me all the time.
That Frankenstein ad was an embarrassment I have never cringed so much at an Apple ad like that one in my life. This one is at least harmless with a lovely location and as most people have ‘their song’ as a couple then why would it not have a relavence for this time of year when people hate being alone and often seek romance.
TROLL
Hey, some people just have more miserable lives than others..
I don’t think she made out with the guy at all.
My interpretation of the advert is that she is so engrossed by the music that when she bumps into a handsome stranger, she is immediately drawn into a brief, romantic fantasy before returning to real life.
However in real life, you might be amazed at the number of people who do get together as a consequence of the most trivial and innocent circumstances. My wife and I regard the word “serendipity” as the thread which defines our relationship. Random things happened, we followed our hearts and instincts, we took full advantage of the opportunities we were offered and they led to fabulous things happening. It’s relevant to Apple because that’s exactly how Apple has operated pretty well since it started.
Yeah because ads are supposed to be interpreted literally and thus be logical. This ad makes no sense at all.

Jumping on top of other people’s cars (0:41) is not cool, even with earbuds.
crybaby
wait…
What were they selling?
lifestyle beatch!
Happiness.
The world needs more happiness.
Damn fine ear-buds. Magical in fact. Put one in a stranger’s ear and BOOM! You be dancin!
you don’t need no stinking air buds…
Dean Martin, coolest man ever…!
I watched it and I just wasn’t swayed.
At 1:25: “move someone this holiday”
I’d probably go with U-Haul.
still my fav https://www.ispot.tv/ad/7nYz/apple-iphone-5-music-every-day-song-by-rob-simonsen
Yes, way, way better. Agreed.
I love how she was about to kiss him until she realized he didn’t really have AirPods lol
Lame… hollow ..shallow… irrelevant.. F-
Apple’s ads are now for people with little intelligent, a predilection to use urban drugs, and no meaningful jobs. I think they mostly target skateboarders.
Did I miss the HomePod ad? What about the iMac Pro ad? Buy now for Christmas. Apple is aspiring to win all the business of Vanity Fair, Blueboy and HipHop.
People… after the initial dancing all is her fantasy after she bumps into him. We know that because in the end we see that it never actually happened. So, no, she isn’t an acrobat that defies gravity. No, she doesn’t put a pod into his ear.
Movies do stuff like this all the time. Everyone should have seen that.
Effective, memorable and well executed. It’s an add not a full featured film.
Not good.
Apple commercials are always awful. This one is no exception.
If all you watched was mass media advertising, you’d think that 50% of couples are black men and white women, when in reality it’s less than 1%. This is propaganda, par for the course from Apple: http://www.vdare.com/articles/morality-not-the-only-target-on-monday-night-football
