DJ Khaled’s new Apple Music ad with Ray Liotta is beyond surreal

“Like Taylor Swift before him, DJ Khaled is extending his partnership with Apple Music (he hosts a radio show on Beats 1) into appearing in their ads.,” Maeve McDermott writes for USA Today.

“After making out with Naomi Campbell in one of the first installments (lucky!), Khaled verged into surreal territory with his new ad, where he lounges in a nail salon with the Goodfella himself, Ray Liotta,” McDermott writes.

    1. Lemme take a wild guess: You’re not in the target market this ad intends to reach.

      This ad is actually pretty much perfect for reaching its intended target market and will increase Apple Music memberships.

    2. You must have missed a lot of recent Apple ads, then. Personally, I think that this ad may actually serve its intended purpose of boosting Apple Music. It may not be your cup of tea, but it appeals to the younger set.

  1. Commercial would have been better if Joe Pesci was there and telling the DJ “How am I funny?! I’m here to amuse you?! HOW THE **** AM I FUNNY!!!??” That, and accompanied with Ray Liotta’s loud laugh!
    That will be an awesome commercial!

  2. The first one I didn’t care for, but the one with Ray Liotta was great. I just watched a couple minutes of the third, but good gawd, are all of those sneakers his?
