No, Kim Kardashian didn’t break Apple’s App Store

“Kim Kardashian may want to break the Internet, but she hasn’t destroyed Apple’s App Store just yet,” Jacob Pramuk reports for CNBC.

“The entrepreneur and socialite on Monday released Kimoji, an app that lets users type emoji characters based on her life, including her clothing and famous derriere,” Pramuk reports. “”On Twitter, Kardashian said intense demand for the app left some fans unable to download or use it.

“However, the ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ star’s claim that Kimoji ‘broke the entire App Store’ may be exaggerated,” Pramuk reports. “Apple’s service page lists no widespread issues or outages for the App Store on Monday or Tuesday.”

Pramuk reports, “Still, Kardashian’s app made waves. The App Store listed Kimoji — which costs $1.99 — as its top paid download as of Tuesday morning.”

  1. “based on her life”

What life? Make some pornography, have her ass photographed, go to various events and be photographed.

Was it Barbara Walters who said something like, “But what are you all famous FOR? None of you actually DO anything.”?

      1. Just because they made the app available doesn’t mean anyone downloaded it. Of course, I have no doubt some will 🙁

I’m not a fan of censorship, but if there was ever a time for it, now would seem appropriate. LOL

  2. Perhaps Trump should choose Kim as his running mate, with that following he would be unbeatable. If they ran as an independent they could form the Bad Taste Party, no shortage of that in America.

  3. She didn’t break the app store per se, what she meant was that so many people downloaded the app that the company behind it couldn’t keep up with demand, simple misunderstanding on cnbc’s part.
