“The changes are most certainly welcomed, but overall, they may not be enough for anyone who bought a 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro within the past three years to upgrade,” Loyola writes. “But if you’re laptop is older, or you’re thinking about upgrading from a MacBook Air, you’ll see great benefits.”

If you want a faster and perhaps larger storage SSD, just buy one and open up your three year old Mac. And for higher resolution, just project your laptop image to a 4k tv set.
The new trackpad pushed me over the hump to get this laptop after not having one since 2006. The accuracy and ease of clicking anywhere instead of moving your finger toward the bottom is a fundamental change in experience and usability.
