The queue outside Apple Store Fifth Avenue continues to grow for whatever Tim Cook & Co. will reveal on Tuesday, September 9th.
Expected new devices and services include iPhone 6, iWatch, iOS 8, HomeKit, Health app, HealthKit, iPad Air 2, and/or OS X Yosemite.
Apple teased the media last week with the event invitation stating “9.9.2014. Wish we could say more.”
Check out the line outside Apple Store Fifth Avenue as of earlier today, Sunday, September 7th:

Makes little sense. Probably can’t order until Friday, and likely can’t buy one until a week from Friday.
It’s an excellent way to get a tan and you don’t have to go very far to get a bite to eat.

It’s more of a social event, apparently.
Q: Has there EVER been such a line prior to the release of any Android product?
That would be only AFTER the Android release and only if re-cycling was mandatory.
Ya, the return line.
It would be funny if products weren’t available until Friday, but I doubt that’s the case. I expect some, if not all, to be available “TODAY”.
Fun rumor a friend passed along to me: The ‘box’ Apple has built at the 9/9/2014 presentation site is a “catwalk”. A fashion runway, dahling.
catwalk \catwalk\ n.
1. A narrow walkway projecting from a stage into the seating
area of a theater; it is used, e. g. by models displaying
clothes on it at a fashion show.
Or models displaying wearable devices? OhLaLa!
In order to be politically correct, the models will be selected from an LGBT slate and, not stopping there, will lean toward the senior and the zaftig.
Not saying I am amongst them.
+1 for using zaftig, bubelah.
Not claiming any of the above? Give us this: would you think it be more appropriate for you to be on a catwalk, or a cougarwalk?
The cougar doesn’t display, she waits in the tall grass
I’ll be looking when I run in the foothills.
The truth is, I modelled to pay for college tuition, but that was mumblety-mumble years ago
Hey! That’s when I was in college too!
I’ll definitely look for you.
That makes me think zaftig is not your trait.
This cat prefers habitats with dense underbrush and rocky areas for stalking

I had to look up zaftig. It’s the old fashioned version of alluring, before the Twiggy, anorexic/bulimic model was redefined as alluring. Juicy buxom wench. Good breeding stock. 😉

That’s nuts. Makes no sense. Queues make more sense when you know WHAT you’re standing in line for. What if nothing comes out until October? Guess they’re not employed – yet standing in line for expensive gadgets.
I think in most cases people are getting paid to stay in line by someone else or work for a company that reviews phones so they can have the first reviews. Also, the tearsdown guys are in there as well. And some people are able to sell the iPhone for double what they paid for it. So I would think for most in that line they are there for some kind of profit gain.
They’re TFB’s…Trust Fund Babies!

Commenting about lines at Apple Store, especially the 5th Ave Flag ship Store in NYC is so yesterday. These lines have been a part of Apple History for as long as there have been Apple Stores. It will continue as long as they exist. Deal with it.
Poor Microsoft. They can only dream of a queue like that.
So why no lines at Apple’s Grand Central Station store?
I predict it will not be called iWatch. The last thing it is is a “watch.” Steve was a genius. Time Cook is a political activist.
Dumb, I doubt if anything will be on sale tomorrow.
