First video review of Apple’s 4.7-inch iPhone 6 posted online; compares unit to iPhone 5s

“The iPhone 6 leaks are coming fast and furious ahead of Tuesday’s event,” Seth Weintraub reports for 9to5Mac.

“This latest video is a supposed review of the iPhone 6 in Mandarin,” Weintraub reports. “We won’t know how legit it is for another 48 hours but it is certainly convincing.”

Weintraub reports, “One notable feature of these latest leaks is the Passbook (which they conveniently failed to open) icon which looks to have a Credit card on top.”

    1. I want something radically different. Get rid of the ugly top and bottom bezels and dump the analog buttons on the device. Embed cameras and the mic in the screen and lose the home button. Fingerprint sensor embedded in the screen. Wow me. Because if they just make it bigger like this I will be disappointed. I realize iOS is not radically changing so I have to temper my expectations because the device is really limited by the software.

      1. We all want more! Apple has spoiled us all in terms of mobile devices. What other company has “wowed” everyone as much as Apple in the area of consumer electronics? Only seven years ago the original, groundbreaking iPhone was released. The iPhone 6 is greatly advanced relative to that original version. It takes a great deal more work to create the Apple magic than most people seem to believe.

I would contend that the current design limitations of smartphones are due more to the available hardware components than the software side. But it is an integrated system, so they go hand-in-hand.

      2. Ok,then ADF. Let’s put you on the design team and work within your constraints. Some of the antennas have to be redesigned or omitted. I guess the front and rear camera, speaker jack and speakers are gone, right. People don’t really need to take pictures, listen to music, use speakerphone, FaceTime, watch movies, ect. right. People could use BT headphones, but damn that’s gone too. But if these are selling features we could double the thickness of the phone and maybe even have some empty space inside (R.I.P. Steve Jobs). I think your on to something but the details need some ironing. Oh, Jony would see you in the parking lot tonight.

        1. I have no problem being on any design team. I design software. Bottom line: this is just a blown up, same old device. We don’t know what Apple will do. But… Apple has filed patents for things like in screen cameras, etc. The whole point of removing the top and bottom bezels is to offset the physical screen size increase so the device can stay as small as possible. So it’s a smooth transition from the chocolate bar iPhone 5S. Functional design principles.

What do fanboys do for work?

      3. You are critiquing the iPhone 6 by trying to make an iPhone 6 look and run just like a high end Android piece of shit.

Apple is innovating. The latest iOS will be a big change and will be on the iPhone 6 or will be delivered shortly.

The iPhone 6 will be the best phone on the market once again.

Your Asian masters will be scared shitless once again.

  1. As big as that phone is, I couldn’t imagine owning the 5.5in model. That thing must be gargantuan. I almost wish that was the larger of the two iPhones, the other being a 4in model.

  2. Pumping up the crowd in China. Wonder how Apple hires for fake-video-and-pic-makers. Maybe it’s a job they give to the marketing and UI folks who’ve done a good job and earned some fun.

  3. He doesn’t even manipulate it right. He double tap where single tap is used. He even photoslide on the wrong side at first… Who is he? A China clone copie worker.

But it does look like the real thing more and more…

  4. Queue up the buzzwords for tomorrows presentation in three … two … one …

    It’s gorgeous …
It’s the thinest iPhone we’ve ever made …
It’s the lightest iPhone we’ve ever made …
    It’s magical …
