Apple promos Beats Music app via email to iTunes customers

“Apple has begun pushing the Beats Music streaming service via email to iTunes customers,” Mark Gurman reports for 9to5Mac.

“The emails promote the free-to-download Beats Music app’s ‘Just For You’ and ‘Tune Your Taste’ features and note that Beats is now ‘part of the Apple family,'” Gurman reports. “This email push is the second Apple promotion of the streaming app as the company has already integrated the app into the App Store’s ‘Apps by Apple’ category.”

  1. Apple didn’t need for Beats to be a ‘part of family’.

It’s akin to having a parent marry someone you hate to be around and assuming somehow that you have to ‘Be nice to them. They’re part of the family now’.

    Screw that.

    And screw Beats Music.

    1. Been using Beats Music for last month and it’s way better than iTunes Radio. it’s an on-demand service, which means you can play any damn song you want, when you want to. And it has great human-curated playlists for many genres that do a far better job of finding new music for you than iTunes’ lame algorithms.

Don’t knock it till you try iy.

    1. Re: limited data plan, Beats Music lets you add any songs, playlists or albums to your library, which means those tracks are downloaded to your device and available for offline listening.
