Rush Limbaugh: ‘Nine out of 10 tech bloggers hate Apple’

Mac, iPhone, and iPad user Rush Limbaugh on Friday discussed the tech media and their relationship with Apple.

The 3-hour Rush Limbaugh Show airs daily on a network of approximately 590 AM and FM affiliate stations. The program is also broadcast worldwide on the U.S. Armed Forces Radio Network. A November 2008 poll by Zogby International found that Rush Limbaugh was the most trusted news personality in the nation.

From the live transcript:

You know, I’ve become a student of the media, and I’ll tell you, there’s something happening. And I don’t know if it’s gonna lead to anything. As you know, I spend a lot of time as a hobby reading high-tech and gadget blogs. And that media — there are journalists there, some of these blogs have actual websites, they publish as online newspapers, and the people that work there are, in their own minds, journalists. And it is amazing the online tech bloggers come down and are divided like the mainstream news guys are between Republicans and Democrats.

Now, in the mainstream news media, there’s hardly any conservative media in the mainstream. The alternative media is loaded with it, but the mainstream media, the big newspapers, the big networks, you have to look long and hard to find a conservative, to find a Republican, to find anybody who’s even fair about them. It’s the same way in the tech blog. I would venture to say that nine out of 10 bloggers writing high-tech hate Apple.

Apple is the equivalent of the Republicans on these blogs, and Google, Android, and Samsung are the equivalent of the Democrats. They’re perfect, they can’t do anything wrong, they’re ideal, and everybody hates Apple. But Apple does have a small cadre of loyalists.

I’d say most of them vote Democrat. Most of them think they’re young and hip, pop culture hip, that’s high-tech, of course it would be. Republicans to them are probably aliens from Mars, racists, sexists, bigot homophobes. But to my mind, I don’t know if it’s gonna mean anything, the pro-Apple bloggers are looking at the way the pro-Samsung, Google, and Android bloggers write, and they’re now starting to write about the media bias, and they’re starting to write about the unfairness, and they don’t understand it. I mean, they’re chronicling how these pro-Samsung and Google, Android guys are faking data, faking news to make it look bad for Apple when it really isn’t. And they’re at the stage now of scratching their heads trying to figure out why this is happening.

Now, I don’t know any of these people. I don’t have an entree to any of them, and I’m probably someone that they would associate with Republicans, you know, out of it, old-fashioned, fuddy-duddy, kook, hayseed, racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe. I would love to just be able to get to one of these guys say, “Now, I want you to do something. The way you see these guys propping up Samsung and Google and Android and the way these guys are ripping Apple to shreds, would you try to see that in the mainstream media? Would you open your eyes and see what’s going on in the mainstream media? Would you try to open your eyes and see that in the mainstream media, the Republican Party is Apple, and the Democrat Party is Samsung, Google, and Android.

My guess is that the entire universe of people I’m talking, with exceptions, of course, just like there are exceptions everywhere, but this entire universe of tech bloggers is probably liberal Democrat, in their politics. And yet they are seeing the same kind of bias in the area they care about that you and I see in the area we care about: politics. And it would be a great teachable moment, I would love to get some of these guys and say, “Would you start questioning CBS the way you question that website? Would you start questioning NBC the way you question that blog and the way they report on Apple? Would you start questioning ABC the same way you are dubious of that blog and the way they’re reporting on Samsung?”

    1. Not even that. Not a huge fan of Rush, though I’ve agreed with him on most of his Apple opinions. However Rush is behind the times. There’s a shift in though happening out here that is real and spreading rapidly.

People are less and less Democrats vs. Republican and more and more The People vs. The Elite (bankers, oil, insurance, ie powerful corporations) buying influence in both parties.

People are starting to look past the Dem/Reps and starting to see the game that’s being played on them. Rush is not taking that shift of consciousness into account.

It’s pointless pitting Apple as Rep Vs. Dem problem. That’s not the real dynamic. These other companies, with the help of the government is trying to tear down Apple because it’s becoming too powerful, and does not want to play political games that everyone else is clearly doing.

Rush needs to stop thinking of media delineated politics of Rep v. Dems. And start looking outside the programmed tv box and follow the money and the actual power.

Anyone who is still thinking that it’s a Democrat vs. Republican world is clearly stupid and highly uninformed.

      Rush should do his homework.

      1. Bankers, oilmen, insurance people and “powerful corporations” all provide value for the money they get. These are not the problem.
The problem is political elites — government employees who suck the lifeblood out of American workers. Obama is the #1 bloodsucker. Obama refuses to admit that we have a government spending problem or that government is too big. Big government is good for him. He only gets richer and more powerful through his crony capitalism that enriches his friends at our expense.

    2. As a once card carrying communist (yes, really) I find myself agreeing with the fat libertine.
You just have not to think political disagreement means badness per se.

    1. No, he’s not. As always, he plays fast and loose with the numbers, spinning them to exact maximum controversy. The man sells FUD, and millions of unthinking idiots lap it up.

      1. So your factual point is….

Please tell us why he is wrong and back it up.

Sorry, if he was wrong all the time CNN would be showing daily clips of all the mistakes.
They try once every 6 months or so and it ends up being a snippet taken out of context or maybe like CBS did and just edited the tape to their liking.

        1. Limbaugh’s actual words were, ” I would venture to say that nine out of 10 bloggers writing high-tech hate Apple.”

You must be a fool to believe that Limbaugh’s numbers are based on any poll, survey, or objective analysis of any kind. He pulled them out of his ass while in the midst of his usual political monologue. The onus is on Limbaugh to prove his opinions, as he’s the originator of this BS. Please use your brain rather than drinking all this unsubstantiated Limbaugh FUD.

        2. Immature personal attacks aside, GoeB, I was responding to “Think”, who clearly was not following his own advice. Don’t butt in when you have nothing to add to a conversation.

        3. I know who you were responding to and to whom you failed to respond to (@billyjackblack). Hope it’s not too tough for you to look up the word “venture” and understand what Rush said. If you can’t do that — butt out. I was not talking to you.

        4. @ GoeB:

Attempting to quality the meaning of a sentence with the trite little phrase “I would venture to say” doesn’t significantly change the meaning of what one utters. If Limbaugh is stupid enough to believe — and seriously put money into venture to prove that 90 percent of bloggers “hate Apple”, he’s stupid. And if he doesn’t really believe what he says, then he’s a liar. Which is it, wise guy?

        5. Sorry, Think, it is not CNN’s job to debunk every lie and distortion RL makes. Doing so would only give him publicity – and CNN would not lavish such free advertising on a competitor. Your claim that any news outlet’s lack of rebuttal means RL must be true is laughable. There simply isn’t enough time in a day to refute the constant stream of garbage coming from RL and doing so just makes him more important than he undeservedly is.

        6. Possibly CNN cannot find any lies or distortions? Because I would BET the farm if they did, they would be giddy and all over it relentlessly 24/7.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Rush does not need publicity from CNN or anyone else. Already the most successful in radio and a household name even in homes of his most strident critics, like you.

You can laugh all you want, but you offer no facts or truths, only typical left-nut generalized BS.

      2. You’re not even close to being right. His numbers and facts are correct and you need to back up what you say here when you talk about Rush. Lot’s of Rush fans here and Rush is a loyal Apple fan and has used Mac computers since his show has started and even he’s admitted that it wasn’t always easy to be a Apple use 100% due to many compatibility issue, but that isn’t the case now. Rush does visit this site and I’m a big fan of his and my hat is off to him and his show. Keep it up Rush!

        1. So the number of people who agree with RL makes what he says true? Well then, I guess that means the Earth really was flat until Columbus came along, because that’s what everyone believed.

  1. I think that Rush made a big mistake by making a comparison to political parties. People will latch on to the political comparisons and the real issues of unreliable Apple stories will get lost in the noise.

Numerous examples of such noise will doubtless follow lower down in this thread.

    1. This piece was not about Apple vs. Samsung. It was about mainstream media bias. He was using the bias in tech blogs as an example to illuminate his opinion about political bias in mainstream media.

Notice that MDN re-titled it to make it a MDN story but the original title was “Tech Blogs Start Noticing Media Bias.”

        1. Do you have a problem with reading comprehension? It is clear what @zbernie said. And you come back with putting words in his mouth? FYI: Rush does not use those two terms you hatefully spewed out there and clearly obvious you have never listened to him. I think we know who the “blowhard” here is …

    1. Wow, I can only assume you associate only with those that are aligned w/ your paradigm?
After all, he’s got the largest radio audience in the Country and no liberal tv host comes fractionally close in listeners/watchers.
When I listen to RL, I often ask what are the opinions/statements that cause such repulsion in those like you? I often suspect your distaste of RL is based more on the momentum of here-say, vs actual points. Btw, I’m not talking about the simple diff of opinion, but the verve bordering on hatred.

    2. This reply kind of proves his point, doesn’t it? A lot of these posts do. It’s angry screeching without any real substance to back it up. It’s exactly the sort of bizarre emotional reaction that seems to be “rooting” for an certain outcome instead of looking for the correct one. It *does* happen in the media all the time; it *is* happening to Apple more and more often.

  2. I’ve read MDN for years, but quoting the despicable Limbaugh? I’m done. You have quoted a man who encourages hate, racism and fear and works diligently to divide people. He has made fun of murdered children and, well the list of hate speech is endless. You should be ashamed.

    1. If you really have been reading MDN for years, you’d know that they cover everything Apple-related, including routinely covering Limbaugh whenever he discusses Apple.

The rest of your post is a collection of lies.

The only one who should be ashamed here is you, for trying to squelch free speech among those who refuse to toe the Democrat party line – a typical Lib tactic.

        1. Agreed. RL is far too hateful, misogynistic, and divisive to be taken as credible. His support of the Mac platform is a good thing, but obliterated by his views on the real priorities of the truly working class.

    2. Maybe you should look at the related stories.. They quote Rush all the time.

and go ahead.. prove your accusations. All of your hate for rush is ginned up from the left’s hate of him in the media, and untrue.
This happens in every Rush story, the left here comes out and claims something about Rush that he said, and it’s proven wrong.
“Makes fun of murdered children” i’ll admit, thats a new one.

    3. Amazing how many people love to spread the FUD about a person or technology. You do yourself and everyone else a disservice spreading outright lies with expressing your primitive uneducated understandings. I’m not a fan of Rush but I like fairness applied to everyone, even Samsung and Google in rare exception, though admittedly that gets harder and harder. This mob mentality has got to stop. You apparently only read what you want to see, you need to get out more and see all sides. I know it probably upsets you the idea of finding out that people like Limbaugh aren’t as bad as you thought. The shame factor is HUGELY all yours. Shame shame on YOU and your rationalization biased & myopic one track mind.

    4. Leaving politics out of it, this post is just dishonest. MDN has quoted Limbaugh many, many, MANY times. You cannot have been an MDN reader “for year” and have failed to notice this.

    5. “I’ve read MDN for years, but quoting the despicable Limbaugh? I’m done.”

Read MDN for years and never seen or read a Rush article? Another LIBERAL LIAR.

” …encourages hate, racism and fear and works diligently to divide people.” Clearly obvious you have NEVER listened to Rush. You only know what your liberal masters told you to think and obvious you cannot think for yourself … pity.

Makes fun of murdered children??? Refer to my first comment, nuff said.

  3. Rush is in heavy decline and is being shown the door at Cumulus Media. Look at the books for WABC, WLS and other stations that beam his poison- they are trending down in a growing radio market.

Not only that, the ads are not sold at rates consistent with his ratings as many companies have decided to not be associated with his divisive disinformation.

    Remember, Rush is Reich.

    1. Darwin Evolved is a liar or an ignoramus. Take your pick.

      It’s a negotiation tactic, imbecile.

You are gonna be able to get this radio program on as many, if not more, radio stations down the road than it’s on now, and what you’re being treated to is just a public business negotiation. Negotiations have been taken public by one side of this… Everything’s cool, and, as always, what’s on the table for this program is growth. – Rush Limbaugh

      http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2013/07/29/i_m_not_going_anywhere_folks

      1. Rush’s ad inventory is bad- nobody wants their stuff associated with this racist (remember Barack the Magic Negro?) moron.

Here is an old list of former advertisers that now request that no ads be placed on Rush Limbaugh:

        21st Century Insurance • Hotels.com • Rite Aid • Ace Hardware • Honda • Robitussin • Acura • IBM • Sam Adams • Advance Auto Parts • Icy Hot • Sam’s Club • Advil (All products) • Intuit/Small Business • Schiff – Digestive Advantage • Alacer/Emergen-C • Schiff – Mega Red • Allegra (all products) • Johnson & Johnson (All Brands) • Schiff – Move Free • Kohl’s • Schiff – Sustenex • Ally Bank • La Quinta • Scotts Miracle-Gro (all products) • American Express • Lifetime • Autozone • Little Caesars • Sony • Lowe’s • State Farm • British Petroleum • Luxottica • Staples • Bullfrog Sunblock • Macy’s • Sterling/Kay Jared Jewelers • Caltrate • MasterCard • Subway • Centrum • McDonalds • Takeda Uloric • Chapstick • Midas • The Home Depot • Clorox (Pinesol/Homecare) • Napa Auto Parts • ThermaCare • Cortizone • National Realtor • Toyota • DeVry • NBC-TV • Discover Card • Office Depot • Twinings of London • Domino’s Pizza • Office Max • Tyson/Wright Brand Bacon • Exxon/Exxon Mobil • One Main Financial • Unisom • Farmers Insurance • United Healthcare • Ford • Orkin • U.S. Army • Outback • U. More have been added.

        1. Re:”Rush Limbaugh’s personal net worth is over $1 billion.”

Bill Gates gave away more than $40 Billion. Does that make him any more correct about anything? How about a copy of Windows 8?

Newsbusters? You must be kidding. That’s not a legit source.

        2. Bill Gates may have given away more than $40 Billion but the bastard got that rich by stealing IP and intimidating customers with a do it my way with Windows or shut down your PC production for ever.
Is Bill the thieving pirate a better man than Rush the fiscal Republican?

        3. Kindly reconsider Mr Gates “generosity.” He actually GAVE almost nothing.

What he did do was to place his wealth in a “charitable trust” tax loophole, permanently untouchable by you and other taxpayers who will never see a penny of it. I do not believe he has to give away the principle EVER – and maybe not even the earnings. He can have his family members administer the trust and they can enjoy a fat, easy living off it, in perpetuity. He can also use to trust to further his pet goals even if they reflect a political agenda (eg, planned parenthood, etc).

Lastly, he gets lots of LOVE from the media as a great, philanthropic American. The old crooked Warren Buffett knows a sure thing when he sees it, and has followed suit by joining the Gates Foundation.

        4. Barrack the magic negro…

          http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-ehrenstein19mar19,0,3391015.story

          THE Inspiration for the tune.
Facts? nah, just blame Rush instead.

And Darwin, it’s hilarious how that list of ads you mention that were sent out, NEVER advertised with Rush.. only advertised LOCALY with the LOCAL stations.. But you attribute them to RUSH only…

There were even a few that took offense to the smearing email, and directly advertised with Rush afterwards.
          Just read Superior Being’s link.

        5. Nice list anyone can write. What is the SOURCE of your information? As others have pointed out and Limbaugh himself — advertising has thrived and some have come back, despite unsubstantiated FUD.

    2. Another brainwashed low information voter. The left-wing state run mainstream media in this country are akin to Nazis or communist propagandists! They’re all parrots for the Democrats, and an affront to democracy! Thank god for outlets like Rush and Fox News, or the only news we would get is left-wing slanted hyperbole!

  4. How come MDN posts from Rush always start the same and mention that “A November 2008 poll by Zogby International found that Rush Limbaugh was the most trusted news personality in the nation”? That’s almost 5 years ago.

I don’t know if his analysis is correct. I don’t think many if not nost of the Pundits who constantly slam are “young and hip, pop culture hip.” To me, they seem to be mostly incredibly narcissitic hit-whores.

    1. Because if you do any research you’ll find that Zogby last did this poll… in 2008.
They have not done it since. They did a similar one in 2011 for ONLY TV news. they did not put radio/internet in the poll.

      1. That doesn’t answer the question of WHY MDN mentions a poll from five years ago; why bother? Aren’t there other, more up-to-date polls about RL that could be cited, if one REALLY felt the need to?

  5. You don’t have to like or listen to Rush Limbaugh (I don’t listen to him) to see that the comparison is an accurate one.

It seems so many people here on MDN are so politically bent one way or the other, that they won’t see the truth. C’mon people, you can do better than that!

  6. This is Just silly. Technology and politics don’t mix. Technology is used to help people. Rush is just trying to complete a political fantasy made up in his head. most technology bloggers are young techno-enthusiasts who do not appreciate apples closed eco system eland much prefer google liberal eco system.

      1. “You are uncomfortable because what Limbaugh is saying clashes with your cloistered, mainstream media-reinforced world view.”
No, because it is reality denying, fact-challenged Republican bullshit.

        1. “No, because it is reality denying, fact-challenged Republican bullshit.”

Typical lefty. Just like F2T2 described. Afraid your force fed liberal media narrative may be all wrong? Like so many other sanctimonious lefties commenting here, guessing your another that never listened to Rush and your incorrect opinion comes from others. Ever hear of Democrat bullsh*t?

        2. First of all it would be Democratic Bullshit- not Democrat Bullshit. Maybe you were home schooled or went to some lowbrow Christian Skewl.

Second, I have listened to Rush and think the guy has a great gig and I seriously doubt if he believes all the crap he spews. He makes a lot of money spreading disinformation but I doubt he sleeps well without his drugs.

        3. Both Democrat BS and Democratic BS work.

OK, you listen to his show and like all other detractors here not one example of what he said that is wrong. Typical from the left, the only thing that matters is demonization and move on … mission accomplished.

        4. I am not a member of, or a supporter of, either party. In a continent spanning country of over 300 million people there are more than 2 political outlooks. Political outlook is not a binary choice.

      1. You would be wrong. I have a neighbor who listens to Limbaugh’s shlock regularly. Limbaugh has made an art out of cherry-picking data and twisting it to fit his narrative, carefully shielding his listeners from any dissenting data. The man could never exist in an open forum that didn’t have call screening to protect him from apolitical, better-educated, & open-minded citizens. I would venture to day that Limbaugh has done more to destroy democracy in America than any other political figure, simply by turning all issues into a partisan war instead of what most issues really are: simple resource problems to be solved pragmatically for the most good of the most constituents involved. Simple democratic compromise is something Limbaugh’s greed and arrogance simply cannot comprehend, and it reeks through in every monologue he makes.

        1. Wow. So your ill informed opinion of Rush we learn is courtesy of a neighbor. I’ll bet you chums just sit by the fire with corn popping and he spins his yarns about the vile and bigoted partisan hack who is singlehandedly destroying democracy in America.

          Think much for yourself?

        2. GoeB seems to think that opinion on RL can only be offered by those who listen to him on a regular basis, but that is utter nonsense. His slime is pervasive enough that even folks who never turn on their radio know what’s going on with Rushie.

        3. Thank you for proving my point. You know nothing of Rush. Only what your closed minded liberal cabal tells you what to think. Obvious your too immature to form your own opinion based on objective analysis. What are you afraid of, that your masters got it wrong? You don’t listen, you don’t have to listen to form an opinion? Since when? Stupid is as stupid does.

        4. “Thank you for proving my point.” — How can this be? GoeB has not at all proved that non-regular Limbaugh listeners of ANY political or apolitical persuasion are unfamiliar with him and his incessant partisan drivel.

“You know nothing of Rush.” — unsubstantiated opinion that GoeB cannot back up no matter how hard he tries

“Only what your closed minded liberal cabal tells you what to think.” — GoeB now spews partisan drivel with impressive hypocrisy

“Obvious your too immature to form your own opinion based on objective analysis.” — now GoeB goes of the cheap personal attack, again without a shred of evidence, let alone relevance.

“What are you afraid of, that your masters got it wrong?” — now GoeB is firmly in fantasy land, pretending that everyone with a different point of view (or a more complete grasp of ALL the facts of an issue) must be controlled by some other entity. Goeb’s conspiracy theory sounds like a direct copy of the GOP talking points.

“You don’t listen, you don’t have to listen to form an opinion?” — GoeB jumps to the conclusion that those of us who are not regular listeners must therefore have never listened, or just as incorrectly, that we must be regular listeners of an equal and opposite political radio personality. Wrong on both counts.

“Stupid is as stupid does.” — Now comes the home-spun, time-worn platitude to show that GoeB must be a good old boy who follows traditional ways. Yippee. His logic, objectivity, and civility all reveal GoeB not to be a patriotic American who wants to improve these UNITED States of America, but rather cleave the nation into the partisan mess that the corrupt political parties have prompted. Worse, GoeB already demonstrated himself to be an illogical argumentative brat who places deity-level faith in the words of his favorite radio entertainer while the rest of us cross-check multiple data sources before establishing opinions.

There is only one more thing I have to say on the subject, GoeB: I am neither liberal nor Democrat. So pick arguments elsewhere instead of offending independent, pragmatic citizens who think for themselves instead of drinking the partisan Kool-Aid as you do.

        5. “So pick arguments elsewhere instead of offending independent, pragmatic citizens who think for themselves instead of drinking the partisan Kool-Aid as you do.”

If your an independent, pragmatic citizen who can think for yourself — I’m Donald Duck.

  7. There seems to be an almost unfathomable backlash against success and fortune in general. For some reason, Apple’s success and their relentless pursuit of it, as well as their attempt to protect it, draws out those who would love to see them crushed. Liberals generally want the playing field leveled, while Conservatives generally want the successful to be rewarded.

    1. I should add that clearly not everyone reacts this way. Apple’s “closed” environment is often confused as arrogance and therefore attracts distaste. I do not agree that it is arrogance, but is instead the best way to protect the OS from harm.

    2. So a level playing field does not reward the best competitor?

It seems to me that the hundreds of millions of dollars spent lobbying governments at every level is proof positive that the richest “winners” are using their ill-gotten gains to further tilt the playing field their way.

  8. 9 out of 10 non-bigoted sane people despise Rush Limbaugh and are petitioning that he be removed from the air. He could bring my mother back from the dead and I’d still hate the pig for what he’s said and the damage he’s caused.

    1. I am not a bigot and I think I am sane and I don’t despise Rush Limbaugh. It’s so tiring to listen to all of the people who hate him get their panties in a wad. I am sure Apple, whether they agree with him or not, appreciate his support of Apple. He has probably introduced a lot people to Apple, which is a good thing. I think a lot of people who have used Apple when they were a niche product line hate the fact that their little clique is gone and they are not the cool group anymore. As an Apple shareholder, it’s fine with me. Grow up.

      1. You grow up. Do your homework. He likes Apple so therefore is absolved of all the horrible things he’s said and done?- Google it! If I were Tim Cook I’d say “thanks, but no thanks. Now go to Hell.” I said Google it! Before you call others “clueless.”

  9. Two paragraphs in and I realize I’ve just wasted precious seconds of my life reading drivel from the bloviated gasbag. Don’t care what the oxy-drug addict has to say, even if I happen to (rarely) agree with him.

  10. Any person and any media worth its salt knows that both parties are full of idiots. The Republicans just tend to be of the more visually obvious, slap you in the face of stupid kind.

  11. my personal belief why tech writers favour Google over Apple is that they make more money $$$$ writing reviews of Android products than Apple.

Many tech writers get paid for reviews and there are a lot more Android devices than Apple. Can they live on ONE iPhone review a year?

To get Free Android devices to review especially pre-release ones writers have to show that they love android and hate Apple. Even Andy Iknatko long time Apple fanboy had to ‘go android’ and write why he’s changing to Android “because it was better” when he left Macworld and joined the general press.

That’s also why tech writers write fawning reviews of (sucky) Android products vs more critical ones of Apple. Even (supposedly) Apple fan writers like Pogue and Mossberg do it (Mossberg criticized iPad more than Zoom in his reviews). No reviewer ever warns that android devices have 90% of the malware and that you probably won’t get an OS upgrade etc …..

Gruber calls it ‘Grading On a Curve’. That’s why there’s a disconnect between reviews (Consumer Reports had more than 10 (!) android phones ranked higher than the iPhone) and the fact that the iPhone won the JD Powers Consumer Satisfaction Award (a poll of actual USERS) 9 times in a row.

Add the fact that Samsung etc pays bloggers (just like Msft used to ), makes fake reviews and hires people to post on forums and multiplied by the Dozens of android manufacturers and you have an avalanche. (Note Samsung has already ADMITTED and publicly apologized for this policy in Asia in the lawsuit put forward by HTC).

Samsung spends $5.3 Billion in ‘marketing’ , FOUR times apple and even when they post ‘legitimate’ ads mean that editors are influenced not to criticize them (in this atmosphere of fading publishing revenues no publisher wants to antagonize a big advertiser and samsung plus all the other android guy are much more ad $$$$ than apple ).

Many general tech writers supposedly love android simply because of $$$$.
Have a 5 star review rating for an Android device, Minus 2 stars and you have something of the truth…

    1. “Many tech writers get paid for reviews and there are a lot more Android devices than Apple. Can they live on ONE iPhone review a year?”

Spot-on – witness the transformation of Ihnatko into a drooling Samsung fanboy on (anything but Mac)BreakWeekly.

  12. Rush Limbaugh is not welcome on my life. Not in my car, living room, or on any of my Apple products. What a repulsive intrusion to see this racist bigot’s fat face here. Again! Really, really bad for the credibility and your reputation. Besides, since when is he a tech critic?

  13. As an open minded forward thinking mature adult… who has used apple computers since 1986, through the 90’s when it was delegated to being an unappreciated counterculture underdog… I take offense at Apple being associated with any narrow minded, self righteous, manipulative political party of ANY flavor.

Apple is an inspirational, ground breaking company, that has brought us the future… Apple is real… Apple is relevant. Apple is not some mindless ideology.

        1. Yeah, I know he says that. But there has to be a reason he is the most successful radio host in history. If Rush was all about hate, racism, division as we have read here from the hateful LEFT on MDN, if true and certainly not, he would been gone decades ago. Common sense is not all that common ….

        2. I don’t know what deluded world you live in but the “left” isn’t hateful. You are as clueless as the rest of the RWNJs.

Don’t you think it is a contratadiction in terms to be liberal and hateful? How do you reconcile that in your mind?

Here is a clue. I listened to him for about the first 10 years he was on UNTIL he turned into a RWNJ and started spewing garbage and his “us poor conservatives” crap.

If this was the early 20th century, he would be the Grand Dragon of the KKK. If this was 1939 and he lived in Germany, he would be hitlers propaganda minister.

He hasn’t contributed one useful thing to the dialog nor one useful suggestion to make this country better.

        3. ” I don’t know what deluded world you live in but the “left” isn’t hateful.”

I live in the same world as you do, but obviously we see it differently. I have read all the posts here and the most hateful IMHO are clearly from the LEFT. The most logical backed by facts are from the RIGHT.

“You are as clueless as the rest of the RWNJs.”

I don’t know what a RWNJ is and quite frankly, couldn’t care less. Clueless? Certainly not.

“Don’t you think it is a contratadiction in terms to be liberal and hateful? How do you reconcile that in your mind?”

Not at all. We don’t live in the 1960s anymore when everything and everyone was cool, except maybe cops (pigs) and Vietnam soldiers (baby killers). Fast forward to 2001 when I attended a college lecture in D.C. delivered by a renowned futurist. Wish I could remember the guy’s name because he was brilliant on so many predictions. Never forget all the jaws that dropped in the audience when he detailed the universal liberal shift. Specifically — today liberals are the most closed minded and hate all those that disagree with them — a trend likely to continue in the future. Reading comments here, I don’t see overwhelming evidence to contradict or overturn the futurist author’s position then or now.

“If this was the early 20th century, he would be the Grand Dragon of the KKK. If this was 1939 and he lived in Germany, he would be hitlers propaganda minister.”

Wow. You sure know hate, but you don’t know Rush. Serious doubt you listened to Rush for 10 seconds, because to claim he has anything in common with the two dictators you mentioned is simply untrue and the most outlandish claim on this thread.

“He hasn’t contributed one useful thing to the dialog nor one useful suggestion to make this country better.”

ABSOLUTE statements are typically the hallmark of fools and not saying you. Do you know on Friday Rush celebrated 25 years of broadcast excellence? And your saying in ALL that time, three hours a day, he has NOT made ONE positive statement to IMPROVE society??? Now, who is clueless again?

I’m 99.9% convinced you don’t listen to Rush, you despise Rush and you will say anything to mischaracterize Rush. That’s really sad. You have clearly missed his suggestions to improve the U.S. and black callers to his show are more often than not, the most insightful …

        4. hitler was a popular leader but that didn’t make him right.

Opinions are like aholes… everybody has one. You have yours, I have mine.

Put your faith in a hillbilly heroin entertainer addict. That is your choice.

By the way. I did listen to him for almost 10 years and he had a lot of common sense opinions in the beginning. In the beginning but not any more.

Most popular entertainer in history. Is that supposed to mean something. To me that just makes you easily swayed.

        5. Sorry GeoB, but you put your faith in a hillbilly heroin addict entertainer.

There in nothing false about that statement.

Partisan dumbass. Here is a clue for you. Everybody is partisan. mush gumball is partisan. Jesus Christ was partisan. Any believer in a political philosophy is partisan.

Am I supposed to lose some sleep from your petty tantrum?

        6. “But there has to be a reason he is the most successful radio host in history.”

Probably the same reason “American Idol” is popular: the majority of the American people are stupid and have no taste.

        7. Keep the stupid posts coming, Grigori. Once again, you add nothing to the discussion except your blind lemming HATE for all things that don’t think, sorry, FOLLOW like you.
