“Steve Wozniak likes to be the first person in line to buy the latest Apple products,” Jon Orlin reports for TechCrunch.
“[Last] evening, the Apple co-founder and designer of the Apple I and II, was #1 on line outside the Apple store in Los Gatos, California to get the iPhone 4S,” Orlin reports. “He tweeted about it and [he’d] be staying up all night.”
Orlin reports, “TechCrunch TV caught up with Woz and asked him why he does it. He explains what feature the new phone has that will change his life. Woz also tells us why ‘search engines should be replaced by answer engines.'”

Just wait until the video guy gets a new 4S phone, that video shake will all but disappear.
That’s not camera shake.
Woz vibrates.
2:05 video bomb
I love Woz in equal measure with Steve. While Steve is the ‘robotic’ heart of Apple, Woz represents its cuddlier side. At least in my mind.
Woz… he probably kept talking until Jobs said, “Wait… what did you just say… good idea… ” Then filtered out the rest… Woz would definitely never be a boring guy to share a meal with… I can see why he and Jobs worked well together…
Yeah, I love this guy as much as the other Steve…
Which other one? Ow you mean Ballmer? Seriously?
Just kidding…
Gotta love the Woz!
Why does this video require Flash? I can’t watch a video about an iPhone on my iPad!
It doesn’t. Set your user agent to iPad, and it works.
Where exactly is the user agent? I’m looking for it! Is it on my iPad, MDN app or TechCrunch?
whats funny is the guy states he’s recording the video with an iPhone 4…. yet the video ends up being Flash.
Used to exchange messages with Woz on a tech site and must say, he was always a gentleman and appreciated anyone coming up with an answer when he asked a question.
Wasn’t Woz the one who misspoke that Apple had bought Siri, when the deal hadn’t yet happened? He’s clearly been a Siri fan for a while.
Woz rocks!
I HOPE this guy is on the AAPL board. If not, kick out Al Gore to make room……he is the ultimate Future Consumer Reference
I agree- Woz is awesome. It would be great, not so much for technical or logical reasons- just more for a symbolic presence… sort of the “Consumer Representative”.
“Search engines should be replaced with answer engines”
Too right Woz – Google is virtually unusable these days.
google is in big trouble when siri takes off. It has the potential to literally rip the web advertising revenue right out from under google.
someone needs to tell w0z that the new iphones are world phones- so both he and his wife are in luck!
Reminds me of this.
