“Since our post from yesterday that claimed new Mac Pros and MacBook Airs are about to launch, we have obtained some new information from our source, Mr. X, about Apple’s next Macs,” Mark Gurman reports for 9to5Mac.

“Now that we have this info, we have determined that part numbers for new Mac Pros are not yet available. Instead, these part numbers are actually for an upgraded white MacBook and new Mac mini line,” Gurman reports. “Apple’s new white MacBook [is ]likely with Thunderbolt ports and faster processors… In addition, Apple is about to launch a new Mac mini line with both a standard model and a server model… The MacBook Air part numbers were correct and they are still coming very soon. We are still expecting new Mac Pros later this month or early next month.”

Does it have to be white again? We already got a white/black option for iPads and iPhones. Bring the black back to Mac! Haha.
A Snappy Mini????
It will come
When it comes !!
THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID
Before you reached the bed.
It sounds like these folks just have some random “part numbers” and they are making wild-ass guesses at what they are for… Lame.
Perfect timing for the back-to-school market.
Apple has a history of releasing new computer models the week after the Back-To-School promotion ends.
I say this is bogus. There’s no point in putting out a white macbook with thunderbolt. That machine is just a legacy design they kept selling.
The Macbook air is in about the same price range with a smaller screen.
Apple is working towards a unified Air style laptop line that runs from the small screen, current Airs below $1,000 up to the pros.
1 — No way the typical MacBook buyer is going to be adding on $1500 drive arrays with their $50 Thunderbolt cable.
You know Thunderbolt can do much more than just RAIDs right?
Plug in a Thunderbolt USB Hub.
You know the cables will only get cheaper.
Saw a 3TB, external, drive for $130 the other day. 🙂
Thunderbolt?
With the Mac mini and Thunderbolt, maybe you can just plug a bunch of them together and make a supercomputer.
The Mini LIVES! THANK YOU APPLE! I will buy one if true!
A white macbook without firewire is not a mac but a pc.
