This will save me a bundle as I setup my iPad server farm!
Every fscking person I am coming in contact with has plans to buy this. Never seen such interest. And this is not in the USA.

We home school, would my family qualify? we plan on six right now, but I would swing for ten (combine with other home school families’ )
Pretty good sign that the price is not going any lower on the iPad.
That’s a firm price point, unlike the iPhone’s original price.
For those heavy days.
In the past, we have bought computers from Apple for our Home School. I just remember it being a little difficult to find the link, but they did work with us.
What happened to the good old days when my educational discount let me buy the original $2,500 Mac for $1,000! Of course if you wanted MacPaint and MacWrite, it cost another $100.
The discount is very low.
I bet 3rd party retailers will give you better discounts, even when you buy singles.
The discount is online with the norm.
They do not typically knock much off of ipods either, and they do not sell iPhones to K-12 schools either.
Typically a couple hundred off a mac though..We got 24″ dualcore imacs last summer for 768$ each, fully loaded.
Nothing to see here move along, quit yer beotching…
One more thing, this is gonna save us two hundred bucks as just a few days ago, there was NO discount in the edu store
SO yeah, it’s real and tangible.
This discount sounds pretty lame. Doesn’t Apple usually offer 8-10% educational discounts on SINGLE purchases? This is about 4% for a BULK purchase!
ldm05, if I recall, the original college discount for the Mac 128K cost $1495, not $1000. Just sayin’.
MDN: saying.
