It’s snappy-er
“an issue that caused data to be deleted when using a guest account”
That was too Microsoft-like for comfort.
“• the reliability of menu extras”
Is it the improvement of lameness called services as contextual menu items or they actually brought back the contextual menu plug-ins support?
@Mac Dev Vet
Menu Extras are the icon-ic menus on the right side of the menu bar.
10.6.2 didn’t work right. I can still see the political BS in MDN.
My main Snow-bug was saving an email in Apple Mail. Used to lock-up about 50% of the time. Seems to be repaired.
Definitely snappier!
Funny how “an issue that caused data to be deleted when using a guest account” was listed last.
Does that qualify as a “one more thing!”

Down loading now, the only problem I have, is iTunes takes very long to load with the spinning ball, hope this helps
…”an issue in which the brightness setting may not be remembered on restart”… Yay, fixed!
And yep, some bits qualify for the “sn” word.
Just updated and it changed some of my file names on the desktop and the sound is not working at all – Cannot increase or decrease the sound. Tried all the basic troubleshooting and nothing.
ummmm….no joke. this thing is definitely more responsive. i haven’t bug-checked at all ot even seen if past bugs are gone, but i would say it feels like a 30%ish speed gain when opening folders or files. pretty amazing.
Had been using Air-Tunes all day on my Apple TV. It lost sync so I restarted iTunes, no help, restarted iMac, no help, rebooted Apple TV, all is good……so far
Update: The update changed a lot of my system preferences, which is why my sound was not working. It changed my output sound source to another option, an option I never use, so I just moved it back to the macbook pro’s internal speaker. Some other preferences, like screensaver, were also changed. I have no idea for the file names changes. I don’t do any modifications to my mac, it’s pretty much factory… so this is pretty strange. Still love it though!!!
even the beach ball spins faster!!! i’m serious!!
I still have my tv shows on the movie folder in frontrow. Does anybody know how to solve this?
There is a MAJOR problem with Apple’s Mail program, and it has NOT been fixed.
Check it out: Each time I send an e-mail, Mail shuffles the e-mail addresses in the Mail Address Book.
Anyone in prepress verify the Font fixes?
According to Apple they fixed…
Fonts fixes provided for:
• an issue with font spacing
• an issue in which some Fonts are missing
• font duplication issues
• an issue with some PostScript Type 1 fonts not working properly
Kindly STFU

Updated really screwed up a couple of fonts for me. I had to delete them from Library/Fonts and reinstall them from where they came from. Pain in the ass.
And the sound thing was kinda like……..stupid. Why muck with what people have as default?
The damn icons in stacks are still way too big and no way to change them. Was hoping they would address this.
@iPhoner
I use the Safari top sites, not all the time but it has it’s uses.
After I updated it turned off my audio line out to my external speakers for some reason. Not a big deal though.
Four finger swipe 100 times better. 100% fixed for me. itunes still pinwheels on start up and is slow. Im still waiting to see the snappiness. but it seems ok. could be better.
@jeff LOL, im going to use that if you don’t mind.
Great update overall except the fact that it jacked up my itunes and now all my songs are basically crap (songs still play fine using Quicktime). Looks like I will be reinstalling itunes…
I still have 10.4.11 n my MBP. Should I update to SL yet or wait for 6.3?
