Apple’s online store is currently offline, displaying the familiar message that often, but not always, precedes new product additions:
We’ll be back soon. We are busy updating the store for you and will be back shortly.
Update: 4:45pm EDT: The Apple Store is now back online with nothing new readily apparent at first glance. Very funny, Steve.
Visit the Apple Store here.
Oh maaaaaan! Where the frig are the new Mini’s, iMac’s, and MacBooks? Not funny, not funny at all Steve!
This is a test. This is only a test.

What? First no coats, now this?
I’m gonna riot….!
Ballmer had all the staff standing at the ready to start the copiers.
MacBook Pro G5 finally here.
Did the Apple Store become snappier?
relax – looks like the 20″ iMac now has a refresh on upgrade spec options – 1TB & 8GB RAM.
Gimme the new iMac quad core, dual graphics card, 26″ scree, SD card domestic powerhouse all in one NOW!
If new stuff is coming, I predict Tuesday next week.
I love how Apple is apparently run entirely by one person, Steve Jobs.
You know, he’s a very important guy, but I really don’t think he actually designs the web pages or sets the prices or flips the switch on whether the store is up or down. I seriously believe he’s got a couple of interns helping him with stuff like that.
It definitely seems more snappy.
Hmmmmm,
I know I’m as bad as the rest of you, . . . but it’s beginning to look like we all need to get a life. In spite of that, I’d be interested a cheaper mini with eight gigs of RAM.
Has anyone noticed it’s cheaper to purchase an eight-core Mac Pro with 16 gigs of RAM than a four-core Mac Pro with 16 gigs of RAM?
Just sayin’.
probably pre-loading for a monday launch to coincide with the quarterly meeting on Monday… gonna flip the switch Monday morning, I’ll bet. Any Takers?
mdn word… inside, as in, “it’s all loaded inside the stores ready for monday am”.
i sooo love to guess!
I think Apple will wait until after the new windows release to release new iMacs etc.
They will let Microsoft fire their guns and then Apple will answer with new computers and a new add campaign.
(Apple’s inherent message to Microsoft will be Is that all you’ve got?).(Apple’s message to consumers will be, as long as you are upgrading come and check out a Mac- here’s why…….)
Maybe they’re trying to fix snow leopard. It doesn’t deserve capital letters, Predrag. mr perfect know it all.
I have 2 credit cards ready to buy 2 new iMacs — I thought that this might be it…. but noooooooooooooo.
Big disappointment here.
MobileMe was down for a LONG LONG time yesterday…. Something BIG happened at good ol Apple.
Apple Store goes offline?
Must be the iTablet!
(-_-)zzzzz
Sooner than later mid tower will come if they are really to grab bigger share of the market from the users of pc – all they have to do is change the apperance of the mini with the possibility of expention – cheers
