The highly anticipated return to the twist-filled sci-fi universe of “Silo” on Apple TV is arriving earlier than many fans expected.

While appearing on TODAY to promote her upcoming Netflix film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, Rebecca Ferguson, who stars in “Silo” as Juliette Nichols and also serves as an executive producer, confirmed that “Silo” season 3 will debut on Apple TV this summer.

That said, she didn’t provide a specific month or exact premiere date for the new season.

Jordan Williams for ScreenRant:

The confirmation of season 3 arriving in summer 2026 comes amid a long wait following Silo season 2’s ending in January 2025, which left off on some cliffhangers and open-ended stories. As such, the anticipation for season 3 to finally arrive on Apple TV has been growing steadily, especially after filming on the new outing wrapped in May 2025.

Following a two-season renewal in December 2024, Silo seasons 3 and 4 were filmed back-to-back, with Apple TV confirming that the fourth season would also be the hit sci-fi series’ last. Since Silo season 4 just concluded filming earlier this month, the wait for its arrival after season 3 shouldn’t be too excruciating.

In addition to confirming the upcoming outing’s release window, Rebecca Ferguson teased what fans of Silo can expect from season 3. Without addressing any specific story details, Silo’s main cast member revealed that the series “gets better and better,” which also bodes well for the show’s upcoming fourth season: “It does get, oddly, better and better. I find it is unusual for shows to grow and to advance in stories, I find they just kind of fall out, but this one gets better and better.”

MacDailyNews Take: “Silo” season 3 is said to adapt Shift, the second book in Hugh Howey’s Wool (or Silo) trilogy, but with notable adjustments to give Rebecca Ferguson’s lead character, Juliette Nichols, who played only a minor role in the novel, a much more prominent presence. The episodes premiering this summer are also anticipated to weave in elements from Howey’s concluding novel, Dust, which picks up more directly from the events of the first book, Wool upon which the first two seasons of “Silo” were based.
