Annie Weisman, creator of “Physical” and “Imperfect Women,” has signed a new multi-year first-look deal with Apple TV.

The agreement gives the streamer first priority on any new series projects Weisman develops. It represents a continued partnership with Apple TV, where she previously held an overall deal several years ago.

Rick Porter for The Hollywood Reporter:

The deal comes a couple weeks before Imperfect Women, starring Kerry Washington, Elisabeth Moss, and Kate Mara, premieres on Apple TV. The series, based on a novel by Araminta Hall, delves into a crime that shatters a long-standing friendship among the three lead characters. Weisman adapted Hall’s novel and serves as showrunner; it’s set to premiere March 18.

Weisman also created Physical for Apple TV. The critically acclaimed series stars Rose Byrne as a woman who finds her calling in the 1980s aerobics boom. It ran for three seasons and earned two Emmy nominations.
