Fans of Apple TV’s golf comedy series “Stick” can look forward to seeing much more of Timothy Olyphant and Judy Greer in Season 2. Both actors have been elevated to series regular status on the show, which was created by Jason Keller.
Timothy Olyphant will reprise his role as Clark Ross (Pryce’s rival and former partner), while Judy Greer returns as Pryce’s ex-wife, Amber-Linn. This upgrade from their recurring roles in Season 1 promises bigger storylines for these fan-favorite characters.
In “Stick,” Owen Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After the collapse of his marriage and while working at an Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce hedges his bets, and future, entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom named Santi (Peter Dager). “Stick” is a comedy about a found family and their relationships set within the world of golf as it has never been shown before.
The Season 1 finale, “Déjà Vu All Over Again,” hints at that next chapter as Santi flirted with the idea of teaming up with Clark, replacing Pryce. As for Greer’s Amber-Linn and Pryce, there was a scene where the couple addressed their romantic history. Amber-Linn invited Pryce into her hotel room, but he declined.
“In that scene, what Amber-Linn sees is the Pryce that she always wished she had seen years ago when they lost their son,” Keller told Deadline in a post-mortem interview in June. “This was the Pryce that, had he shown up in this way a long time ago, they maybe would have survived their marriage, and they would have stayed together. For many different reasons, Pryce just couldn’t get there.”
MacDailyNews Take: Although we tried hard to like it, unfortunately with pretty much “Zero” success, “Stick,” aside from Wilson, is simply not very good, yet here comes season two (likely sometime this year)!

Sorry to say, but anything with Owen Wilson is a “never gonna’ happen” for me. An unfunny dim-bulb; smarmy; self-aggrandizing boob with an ugly nose turns me off. His brother Luke is pretty good though.
I was ready to throw away this series as a Ted Lasso wannabe but I gave it a chance and actually really like it.
It’s a fun, emotional comedy series with the heart in the right place. Looking forward to season two! And it does have kind of a Ted Lasso vibe but that’s a good thing. 😁 You might like/dislike certain premises or actors but Apple TV does always bring quality which is really refreshing.
Judy Greer is hot!
