Apple is in full swing with the development of its upcoming fall software updates, releasing the fourth beta versions of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2. This follows an unusual third round of betas that saw reissues for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
Developers can now access the latest builds to test new features and identify potential issues. Notably, the second round of betas introduced SharePlay upgrades and iPhone Screen Mirroring, features Apple had previously confirmed.
While these are early looks at what’s to come, they provide valuable insights into Apple’s direction for its operating systems. As the release date draws closer, we can expect more refinements and potentially new features to emerge.
MacDailyNews Note: Apple, of course, continues to develop betas for its current software versions, such as iOS 17.5.x.

I just downloaded beta 4 and still don’t see any AI features. Maybe I’m overlooking it? Has anyone tried the beta yet and can confirm?
If so, it’s leaving an increasingly small window for AI features to have any impact on iPhone 16 sales this fall – AAPL’s recent run-up was based on analysts’ expectation of a superccle for iPhone 16 on the back of AI features (which will only work on iPhone 15 Pro/Max and beyond).
My understanding was that AI was only iPhone 15 and up, is this true? Do you know if it’s going to be available on macOS?
Yes, macOS will offer Apple Intelligence features:
Well if you want any AI you will need an iPhone 16 or 15 Pro/Max… so there is your answer…in order to be ready when it finally comes out you need a new phone so just buy the new 16 why wait another full year and missing out on the new features?
Why even buy it if the features aren’t available yet and mostly won’t be for another year? You can order an iPhone at any moment, no need to “be ready” with a $1000 phone that does exactly the same thing now that any other iPhone released this decade does.
