“Apple yesterday released iTunes 12.4, an update that introduces a few user interface tweaks that should help you get around it a little better,” Jonny Evans writes for Computerworld.
“Have you been using the Heart button to tell iTunes which tracks you like best so you receive better music recommendations?” Evans writes. “Probably not, as it only appeared when you hovered your cursor above the track name. Now it’s an ever apparent heart shape beside the now playing section.”
“The Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, and other media items section at the top left of iTunes has been changed,” Evans writes. “Now you don’t see the most popular items lined up beside each other, but you get a pop-up menu to help you navigate between media types. You can also edit these so you only see the fields you most frequently use.”

MacDailyNews Take: It is a little better, at least.
BTW, Apple: If we have all 27 albums ever produced by [Band X], with thousands of song plays racked up, we do not need a 1500×280 pixel banner labeled “Intro to [Band X]” across the middle of our “For You” section. Sheesh.

Great take. Hate the “Intro to…” when I own everything by the artist already.

This is the problem with ALL of Apple’s flat, simplified, clean, white, stupid, etc software of late. Ever since iOS7 and it’s crept into OSX.
I like the”Into To” music collections. There are times I want to hear the top songs from a band! Maybe it should be labelled so (Popular Songs By…)
This is what you get when you have Johnny boy sticking his nose into everything. It looks like early Windows, but more reliable.
Yeah. stop with all the cheesy banners, Apple. You’re getting to look like MDN.
