“At Apple’s product launch event [yesterday] in California, the company revealed two new details about its iPhone and iPad businesses,” Dan Frommer reports for Re/code.
“Executive Greg Joswiak noted that Apple sold more than 30 million iPhones with four-inch screens in 2015 — iPhone 5s and 5c devices, which both debuted in 2013,” Frommer reports. “For context, 30 million would represent about 13 percent of the 231.5 million total iPhones sold by Apple in 2015. This suggests its larger, more recent models, such as the latest iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, represented the remaining sales — a large, expected majority.”
“Apple has sold more than 200 million 9.7-inch iPads… This stat was cited by Apple SVP Phil Schiller,” Frommer reports. “Considering this, the [iPad] mini has likely represented around half of iPad sales since its launch.”

MacDailyNews Take: Frommer’s conclusions look correct to us.
As usual, no brilliant annalist understands or can actually assess Apple’s true numbers or value, they need to be spoon fed the dumb fucks…
Breeze on back to grammar school.
What’s wrong? Breeze spelled dumb correctly.
What’s wrong is that forum fanbois like you and breeze don’t understand the difference between spelling and grammar. Let alone civility…
Dude — or is it dudette? It’s an online quick text, not published poetry. The point is basic communication, not high art. You’ve never wrote a typo or grammar error on your device? Geez, lighten up. The problem with troll-gurls like you is …well, figure it out.
Resorting to critiquing blog spelling and grammar seems pretty …petty. What are you – a former 4th grade nun?
Normally I am very reasonable, but I have completely lost patience with the online behavior of breeze and silverhawk. They don’t publish poetry or prose — all they do is slander and attack. That behavior does not deserve to be given any slack.
If you can’t figure out that a Paul would be a dude, then you have serious problems that you should solve elsewhere.
breeze and silverhawk1 have been around for as long as my maternal uncles, which is a pretty long time. They are as opinionated as entitled pensioners which I suspect them to be. They act as troll detectors the same way seniors during the London Blitz volunteered to scan the skies for Hitler’s buzz bombs. If they are sometimes off the mark, I for one don’t fault them for that. Nobody’s instincts are perfect, but I’ll go with the old guys first, and unregistered ammonites second.
Here, here, Paul!
Like your response because it is spot on.
Both breezy and silverhack are foul mouthed INSULTING fanboys TO THE EXTREME.
Always the same posts, cheerleading and attacks.
No lights on in the attic … pity.
breeze grammar’s as good as mine, sometimes a little more north country
I’ll breathe a sigh of relief we are back to picking on one another’s spelling, after hagridden days with the fb1 crap
Take a look at your nonsense grammar dick.
What were we talking about? Oh yeah. iPad sales. Carry on.
