Macworld predicts: What to expect from Apple in 2016

“2015 was a huge year for Apple, and you know all eyes will be on the company in the year to come,” Macworld writes.

“Will the Apple TV make a strong showing this holiday season?” Macworld asks. “Will the iPad Pro be enough to reverse the iPad line’s recent sales slump?”

“Will the so called Apple Car remain a secret?” Macworld asks. “We take our best guesses at Apple’s destiny for the next 12 months.”

Macworld discusses:

• Apple Car
• USB-C
• Mac Pro
• iPhone 7
• iPhone 6c
• iPad
• Apple Music
• Apple Watch
• Apple TV

Tons more in the full article here.

MacDailyNews Take: “We definitely believe that a second-generation Apple Watch will be released in 2016, just because the first generation is still a little thick and a lot sluggish for an Apple product, even running watchOS 2.”

We concur, but we would not have missed the original Apple Watch for anything! You only get one shot at a first generation Apple product, so take them when you can! While the rest of the world is fumbling about, we’ll be using our Apple Watch 2 units like second nature!

  1. How about a new Mac OS X that works and is not released before its ready. I would definitely pay $79.95 for an Mac OS X that has been developed in house and tested for at least a year or more before it is released to the Apple users per say and 75% Bug Free if possible. If it takes a year or more to do it, then so be it. I for one do not like a new Free Mac OS X released every year that is full of holes! I’m not a beta tester for Apple, that is their damn job! I’m a consumer that would pay for it at after it has been tested and fixed for at least a year or more. Just my opinion. And El Capitan should be El Crapitan as well because it is CRAP!!!!!

  2. WadeP1964,
“…I’m not a beta tester for Apple”. Actually, I think Apple HAS made us all beta testers by default. However I agree I’d pay for an insanely great OS that just works and that’s what Apple used to say in it’s marketing.

As for a bit of advice, if at all possible don’t go over to a new OS until version three. I got burnt with OS8.0 when the whole system crashed and froze me out. Apple tech support actually advised me to go back to latest version of OS7. I’ve been sticking to this rule of thumb for years and it seems to work. In fact I didn’t switch over to OSX until version three…Panther.
