“Nearly a month after the release of the first-generation Apple Watch with Watch OS 1.0, a proven source has disclosed a collection of upcoming Apple Watch software and hardware updates,” Mark Gurman reports for 9to5Mac.
“Currently in development, the features seek to enhance Apple Watch security, connectivity with other Apple devices, health and fitness features, Wi-Fi capabilities, and integration with third-party applications,” Gurman reports. “Additionally, Apple is also priming major updates for the Apple TV in both the hardware and software departments, including Apple Watch integration.”
Gurman reports, “Apple plans to market the current Apple Watch as a primary input device for the next-generation Apple TV, in addition to the ‘fancier’ remote control that will be bundled with the new device, according to sources.”

MacDailyNews Take: June 8th can’t get here soon enough!
Updates already for an ordered Apple Watch that hasn’t even shown up here yet. Nice. Hopefully they got that security thing fixed as a deterrent against theft.

Oh great. So now it’s going to have the same connectivity problems as all of their other devices??
Your samdung products are not covered by Apple updates, which is funny because neither samdung nor Gaagle will update your galaxie crap.
Mine’s not here yet. Please let it be the updated configuration when it does ship.
I finally had the right amount deducted on my credit card for my black stainless steel watch. Hopefully I’ll get it this week.
The credit card transaction is probably the surest sign things are afoot. Good luck.
Lets hope the updates work better than the upgraded iOS did on my then 3 month old iPad a few years back. Never worked totally smoothly again sadly as much as I love it. If that can happen to a third Gen product a first Gen one really concerns me in terms of software upgrades.
Apple Watch and Apple TV integration could be interesting and hopefully compelling not just for TV but Home Kit and other automation too.
Other than the story that Apple Watch has a potential security issue because its not glued to its owner with epoxy, and thieves can steal one and re-pair it to another phone, has there actually been one stolen yet? Anywhere… To me, its more media hype and could actually cause a problem for current owners.
