Tim Cook reportedly in Paris for Galeries Lafayette Apple Watch launch

Mac4Ever is reporting that Apple CEO Tim Cook is in Paris, likely for the Apple Watch launch in the upmarket Galeries Lafayette department store,” Ben Lovejoy reports for 9to5Mac. “The Apple Watch section of the store spans four balconies and is set for its grand opening at 9am tomorrow.”

Lovejoy reports, “The similar section within the Selfridges department store in London opens the same day, and with the two cities just a 45-minute flight (or 2 hour train away, it seems likely Cook will put in an appearance there too.”

MacDailyNews Take: As Lovejoy mentions, Cook will also likely hit some Apple Retail Stores, too.

As per the “mixed” reviews also mentioned, Apple should have given reviewers more time with the Watch. Those who couldn’t quite get it in a week, would have figure it out given a bit more time.

  1. Pre-ordering tonight. I really want to get the silver Sport watch with a black band but have a feeling that won’t be a option. The current choices for the sliver watch are not very appealing. Probably will go with the white or green band.
Later I’ll get the Milanese band once the availability improves.
