“Samsung Electronics’ domestic sales fell to the lowest in eight years in 2014,” The Chosun Ilbo reports.
“According to a Samsung audit report on Monday, domestic revenues totaled W20.7 trillion last year, down nine percent compared to 2013 (US$1=W1,110),” The Chosun Ilbo reports. “Domestic sales accounted for around 10 percent of Samsung’s overall revenues.”

MacDailyNews Take: Gee, that’s too bad. 🙂
From the earliest days at Apple, I realized that we thrived when we created intellectual property. If people copied or stole our software, we’d be out of business. If it weren’t protected, there’d be no incentive for us to make new software or product designs. If protection of intellectual property begins to disappear, creative companies will disappear or never get started. But there’s a simpler reason: It’s wrong to steal. It hurts other people. And it hurts your own character. – Steve Jobs

The SameScam ‘Edition’ watch will boost their earnings next quarter. Oops, no ‘Edition’ watch in production. 😳
It is one thing to copy and entirely different thing to build capabilities and create new products from scratch.
Keep up the boycott of all Samsung consumer goods. We can bring them down further.
Am doing just that. Sumsang deserves it.
Meant to write ‘Sungsam’ but Sumsang works, too.
How do you feel about “Sumdung”?
I’m trying out Skankskunk. Maybe BangDingOwSung too.
Maybe their execs play hoops with hardened ox droppings, in which case they would be SlamDung. ?
You may be right. Or playing with monkeys at the zoo – FlungDung.
AssMung.
And just to be clear, those are shipments, not actual sales.
Samsungs shipments are tanking because they haven’t paid factory invoices in months. And almost all business relationships are strained to breaking point because of Samsungs threats of kidnapping and beatings to suppliers that refuse to deliver on promissory terms. I’d say a full blown Korean copycat melt down is quite definitely well underway.
Maybe they can pay them off with ShameScam phones and watches? 😀
That’s some juicy inside dirt, got any links to back that up?
Yeah this has the same smell as the old USSR meltdown because they were all also tough bluff and bluster puffed up only by bravado and finally collapsed being outleagued by the West. Fool me once, fool me twice…
That’s what happens when a company builds crappy products that fail within a couple years of purchase. We have had numerous TV’s, a tablet computer, a Blu-Ray player, and a washing machine over the last few years and they have all failed in some way or another. The only Samsung product that has not failed is a 9-year-old microwave. Samsung = crap.
Why did you buy all those ShameScam products? 😀
Most of us here have some friendly advice for you – Boycott Samsung.
The nuclear war has come full circle; wanted them brought back down to their 2007 levels before they started copying the iPhone. “What goes around always cones around.”
ShameScam’s best way to increase profits is to get out of the SmartPhone market entirely, and supply parts to Apple for iPhones. One of the few profit makers now is fabrication of Apple iPhone cpu chips. 😀
