iOS 8.2 release nears with new Apple beta seed

“While the mysterious iOS 8.1.3 is expected to launch shortly, today Apple has taken another significant step forward with the major iOS version everyone is talking about: iOS 8.2,” Gordon Kelly reports for Forbes.

“Following a promising video walkthrough last month, Apple has released the fourth beta of iOS 8.2 to developers at the iOS Dev Center,” Kelly reports. “It carries the build reference ‘12D5461b’ and comes just under a month after iOS 8.2 beta 3 (build ‘12D5452a’).”

“The big news this time around is Apple’s preparation for the launch of the Apple Watch, the company’s first major new product since the iPad, and how it will operate,” Kelly reports. “Dug out by 9to5Mac, within Bluetooth settings iOS 8.2 beta 4 now makes specific reference ‘To pair an Apple Watch with your iPhone, go to the Apple Watch app.'”
