“Highly rated TJX Cos., L Brands and Williams-Sonoma were among retail operators that saw the most traffic last weekend as stores went into the home stretch of the holiday season, according to a report by Ken Perkins, president of Retail Metrics,” Marilyn Much reports for Investor’s Business Daily.
“The Apple Store, teen discounter Five Below, department store chain Macy’s and consumer electronics retailer Best Buy were also among last weekend’s busiest traffic generators, Perkins added,” Much reports. “He says Dec. 20, or Super Saturday, will likely be the holiday’s biggest single selling day.”
Much reports, “The combined weighted November/December same-store sales projection for retailers that report same-store sales monthly is expected to climb 4.4% from a year ago.”
