“Apple has handed the first Mac OS X Yosemite update to developers for testing, and is reportedly asking them to focus on three areas, including Wi-Fi connectivity, which have been problematic for many users,” Juan Carlos Perez reports for IDG News Service.
“The OS build is labeled as version 10.10.1 (14B17), according to a note posted on Apple’s developer site, and is available currently only to registered Apple coders,” Perez reports. “Multiple technology news sites and blogs are reporting that the release notes for the beta build are very brief, but that they include a request for testers to focus on Wi-Fi, Exchange accounts in the Mail application and the Notification Center.”
Perez reports, “Complaints from Mac owners whose Wi-Fi went haywire or became completely useless after moving to Yosemite have been pouring into social media sites, discussion forums and blogs since the OS’s release on October 16.”

That’s not all. There are also a lot of Exchange Mail problems such as syncing, out of office settings and calendar spam to name a few.
Surely it should be 10.10.01.01 for symetrical reasons?
Symetrical/symmetrical… My bad.
What is going on with apple and wifi over the past few years?
Seems like every OS update comes with wifi issues..
too much attention to thinness, donut offices, and gay pride parades.
not enough attention to customer needs.
Also, focus on Yosemite crashes. Never did Mavericks crash, now Yosemite crashes at least three, sometimes more times a day.
Yes, my MacBook Pro WiFi goes out on occasion. Affects all WiFi stuff including Personal Hotspot from my iPhone.
Looking forward to the update.
It’s only been a day, but this appears to have fixed my wifi wake from sleep issue. It’s too intermittent to know for sure. This issue was happening with Mavericks as well, and never got fixed by Apple.
