Apple TV channel for live streaming Apple’s ‘iPhone 6’ event now available

“Apple announced on Thursday that it will broadcast this year’s iPhone event live for Safari and Apple TV users, and today Apple TV has revived the dedicated Apple Events channel for viewing the announcement live during the event,” Zac Hall reports for 9to5Mac.

“The channel usually remains for a short time after the event for on-demand viewing,” Hall reports. “As for what to expect from this year’s September event, it’s bound to be a big one with new iPhone models including 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays expected, a new mobile payment system through NFC and Touch ID, and a preview at Apple’s highly anticipated wearable device (the iWatch/iBand or whatever Apple has decided to call it).”

  1. Has anyone noticed on the Apple website the color of the guest passes which appear to be pink? Could there be some correlation between the Apple logo color and/or device, app or something?

    1. Yeah! Down with wimminz! They be all whinin’ about getting equal pay for equal work, and crap like that, and they be hatin’ on brogrammers and titty bars! Hitler and Mussolini were feminists. Man power, my brothers!

  2. Apple TV live coverage screw up. Some people will be fired. 10:05 the live coverage still didn’t start. We saw tim Cook for few minutes with Chinese translation. I hope it’s not the new apple era.

  3. I work at Apple and was excited to watch on my AppleTV, but turned it off after 20 minutes of frustration with the live stream. I’ll just find out from the news or when I go into work tomorrow. Nice try Apple, but total fail.

    1. I was unable to keep the Apple TV special event stream, it was so bad it was almost comical, constantly dropping, chinese translation overdub, and it even locked up the Apple TV twice on black screen, needed to power cycle it. After 20 minutes or so, I used Safari on my iPhone 5 to get the feed from Apple’s website, set it to Airplay to the Apple TV, and it was rock solid the rest of the show. So I think it was the guys running the Apple TV feed that should feel the wrath. That was the suckiest piece of suck that ever sucked.
