“With Google’s acquisition of music-streaming service Songza, the search leader is going up against Pandora Media and Apple in a market expected to top $2 billion this year,” Kevin Shalvey reports for Investor’s Business Daily.

  1. Not to mention the fact that a: the streaming services don’t pay artists shit, so, b: Google is essentially co-opting other people’s creative work for (after the acquisition) free to serve their shitty ads. This company is the lowest of the low. I so wish our DOJ had any spine to speak of whatsoever.

And seriously, if you enjoy music and would like for people to continue writing songs and releasing them for you to enjoy, BUY the music. The money you give to Spotify goes into Spotify’s and the label’s pockets, not the people creating the music.
