This is what iOS looks like on a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 display

“Over the past couple of months, it’s been rumored that Apple’s iPhone 6 will feature a larger 4.7-inch display,” Dom Esposito reports for 9to5Mac.

“Several mockups and schematics have appeared online that mimic this rumor, but we won’t have confirmation until Apple announces the iPhone 6 later this year.,” Esposito reports. “Instead of waiting for the rumors to be confirmed, we thought it would be fun and useful to create a physical iPhone 6 simulator. ”

“As reported by our own Mark Gurman, Apple may be working on a larger display with a resolution of 960 x 1704 giving the iPhone 6 a display density of 416 PPI on a 4.7-inch iPhone 6,” Esposito reports. “Sources say that most of iOS will simply be enlarged to fit a bigger display.”

  1. In the late 30’s, my aunt would take Christmas presents to Sears to have a look inside, using the shoe department’s X-Ray machine used to see if your new shoes fit properly. She of course was trying to find out what was in a nicely wrapped box.

I wish to be surprised at any Apple announcement event. Sure it’s exiting to speculate, but certainly we are making the actual reveal to be a bit less fun than it otherwise could be… 🙂

  2. Boring boring boring. These iPhone 6 rumor/simulation/mock-up stories are getting repetitive. There’s nothing new here. I’m not the slightest bit impressed to see iOS 7 merely scaled up to fit a bigger display. It’s doubtful that Apple would waste that opportunity by merely scaling the UI larger.
