“Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2014 (WWDC 2014), is set to kick off with a keynote on 2 June, during which the company is likely to unveil iOS 8 and OS X 10.10, as well as other new products such as a Retina MacBook Air, and maybe even an iPhone 6 and an iWatch,” Ashleigh Allsopp writes for Macworld UK.
“At WWDC 2013, Apple unveiled OS X 10.9 Mavericks and iOS 7, both of which were released as beta versions after the event, as well as the new Mac Pro, a new MacBook Air, iTunes Radio, and iWork for iCloud,” Allsopp writes. “Apple has already revealed that we’ll be getting our first look at the future of iOS and OS X at WWDC 2014 in June, but what else can we expect to see, and what will the new features in iOS and OS X be?”
“Before 29 April, we thought that a Retina MacBook Air at WWDC 2014 was likely, but we’re not so sure anymore. Why? Because Apple went and updated its MacBook Air line-up, giving every model a processor boost and price drop,” Allsopp writes. “This doesn’t rule out a Retina MacBook Air launch at WWDC completely, but it does make us rethink the likelihood.”

I think “iWatch” (whatever it is) will be officially introduced, with a Fall release (go on sale) date. It’s no coincidence that the 7-for-1 stock split “record date” is the same day as the WWDC keynote. There must be something “new and unexpected.” The rest of the keynote will probably be about iOS and Mac OS X.
Yes, let’s pump our expectations up sky-high , so that when the most likely thing happens (OS X and iOS previews, hardware refreshes), we can scream our righteous disappointment to the heavens and demand that Tim Cook be fired. It’s tradition!

We must have our traditions mustn’t we ! Same old same old.
Apple will do what it wants to do and nobody outside apple knows what that will be.
No company gets as much media (I count analysts as media) gets as much attention as Apple.
Care to guess why ?
Suppose, just suppose, that Apple uses the Developer’s Conference to speak to developers about development and introduces no new hardware…
If anything is announced it will be a hint at a bigger screen iPhone and how developers need to handle new screen sizes. Maybe resolution independence?
A slow news day?? We will all know on June second and no dreaming or disparaging will change it a whit.
Flat future, big whoop.
New pipeline products?
Now we’re talk in’ …
According to this report posted on RE/Code, there will be no iWatch or new Apple TV announced at WWDC. And this guy’s sources are very good.

While I remain cautiously optimistic about Apple’s future (I’ve been with them since the Apple ][), it will be a disappointment if Apple fails to announce or significantly hint at new hardware at WWDC. After all, that would indicate to a lot of people that developers don’t have to worry about developing for any new hardware in the near future – they just have focus on how to use the new software (iOS 8 and Dos Equis – X.X, 10.10). That’ll further fuel concerns that Apple’s still struggling to find the next great thing. And if a new, larger phone and iWatch don’t drop this year (not that I need or even want either of them), it’ll really start smelling like Redmond around Cupertino.
Not that I care all that much – Apple’s still the best and I truly can’t imagine switching platforms. But the rest of the world is watching with hungry eyes.
