Mavericks Update: OS X 10.9.2 Beta 3, Safari for Mountain Lion and Lion seeded

“Whatever else this Mavericks update developer seed (aka OS X 10.9.2 13C44) is it is big, tipping the scales at over 1.9GB. The previous seed [build 13C39] arrived just a week ago and it is perhaps reasonable to assume that a public release isn’t far off,” FairerPlatform reports.

“The previous developer seed of this Mavericks update, OS X 10.9.2 Beta 2, includes the ability to block people in Messages and FaceTime Audio,” FairerPlatform reports. “Apple has also posted Safari 6.1.2 Seed 2 for OS X Mountain Lion and OS X Lion to developers to download and test. This update is thought bring security and bug fixes.”

FairerPlatform reports, “Safari 7.0.2 is bundled with OS X 10.9.2 and it is also believed to contain security and bug fixes.”

  1. Big? It would have to be to fix all the problems, as I have been saying. At about 40% the size of the entire OS download, hopefully that means Apple has finally fixed all the issues. I would guess that 40% is pretty close to the approx. 2 out of 5 things that have been problematic for me. Very slow with these fixes compared to past releases.

  2. What ever else they do they have to fix Quicklook, It has been an absolute disaster in Mavericks! I can’t preview any .cr2 or larger .tif files anymore because it keeps crashing. I even went to the extent of completely wiping my drive and re-installing Mavericks from scratch but Quicklook still does not work correctly. For such an essential tool I’m surprised Apple has not addressed these issues yet.
