  1. AirParrot is a lemon. It is buggy and suffers from poor performance. Good enough for a stop-gap until you get to MTN Lion, but painful to use heavily. Prepare for frustration.

    My org uses airplay with Apple TV in 40 rooms and counting now. We initially tried AirParrot, but were severely disappointed in it. It facilitated a faster rollout of Mtn Lion thought!

    Airplay ROCKS!

    1. Doesn’t matter if you have Mountain Lion or not if your hardware is a couple of years old or older. Can’t use Airplay for video if that’s the case.

  2. You can also try streaming practically any video from your mac to the Apple TV through the iPhone, by using the Air Video app / Air Video Server combination.
