Regarding Apple iWatch, iTV, iPhone 5S, bigger and low-cost iPhones, iPad 5, and iPad mini 2

“Absent fact, rumors run rampant,” Rene Ritchie writes for iMore. “It’s only natural. Secrecy breeds curiosity, and huge fall releases of almost every product in Apple’s lineup leads to speculation about what, if anything, they have left for the new year.”

“The broad strokes are probably obvious — there’ll be new phones and new tablets, but this year we’re seeing renewed rumors of bigger and less expensive phones, and of watches and television projects as well,” Ritchie writes. “Like any year, we also have major newspapers publishing leaks, and financial analysts reporting nonsense. So what can be made of all of this?”

Ritchie writes, “Well, according to people who have provided accurate information to iMore in the past…”

  1. wtf is a inexpensive iphone? $200 isn’t good enough?? I’m getting ready to switch to a Galaxy Note 2 and its $300, before I get bashed I just want to say I’ve had a iphone for 4-5 years and im tired of the lack of features and being spoon fed each year…im sticking with my ipad and mbp but apple really needs to cater to the ones that has fought in numerous debates about iphones vs android and who has made them successful

    1. most of the world pays full price. $650 and up for a top end model like the iphone 5 or Galaxy S3. less for lower end models.

the sweet spot is in the $300 range for most people in first world countries and cheaper in developing countries

    2. What features did you decide are missing that you can’t live without?

What features on iPhone will you miss when you find they just don’t work well on Andriod?

As soon as you say “Apple really needs to cater …” you realize you are in the minority.

      1. most apps I use android has except the fuelband which isnt that big of a deal, but I’m not about to argue with you, I used to be just like you debating in the iphone corner but the shit is just getting old….android finally got its os to work fluidly so there is no reason for me to stick with it….. i mean i cant even change my home screen, have been basically looking at the same grid of apps….. Im now open to using something else and i feel the note is pretty damn good! I can live with my ipad being simple but i need more from my phone and the bigger screen is a plus….i thought it would be too big but its perfect

        1. the only phone i would consider trading my iphone 5 for would be a Galaxy Note 2 or a future version. and only because i like to read and don’t want to buy an extra tablet or ereader.

i know people with galaxy S3’s and its the same android as i’ve used 2 years ago with a different skin. what’s the hype? its a nice phone but i like the iphone better. android hasn’t changed much since froyo either

        2. yea, I would only get the Note 2, I used it for a little bit…..and it may be the same android but I never had one so it would be all new to me, if I dont like it I will come running back believe me I thought I would never get any phone but the iphone but the note really has my eye

  2. an iWatch ? wow.. how much more ridiculous these “rumors” can get? 🙂 How about an iDiper ? or an iShoe? the shoe that talks to you wherever you go and kicks you in the butt when you are an a$$h()L3. Apple will eventually come out with an iBrain, which is like your brain, but much much MUCH better. Then perhaps there will be the moment in history when people will cease crapping out all sort of ridiculous apple product rumors. 🙂 can’t wait.
