Apple friends Facebook at WWDC, hits Google where it hurts

“Apple Inc. is releasing a fresh lineup of computers and software tools to woo consumers and keep developers making applications amid accelerating rivalry from Google and Microsoft while integrating Facebook into the iPad and iPhone,” Bloomberg reports.

Bloomberg TV Markets reporter Sheila Dharmarajan speaks about the developments on Bloomberg Television’s “Inside Track.”

    1. Good point, Am3ricanJo3. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I hope Facebook isn’t placed in a position where they access personal data from iOS devices and abuse the relationship. I simply don’t trust that company.

  1. If FB integration helps , I’m all for it, but I don’t use FB and think Suckerberg is highly overrated.

    Oh, and one more thing, fsck Gurgle.

  2. Don’t worry. Facebook will kill itself. They’re just briefly helping Apple.

    They’ll end up on the heap with MySpace, Friendster, SecondLife, etc.

    1. I sent a message to Bloomberg customer feedback requesting show their video in HTML 5 when the Flash plugin is not available. They already show their video in HTML 5 when on an iPad so they have the ability, they just need it to serve up the right video when the plugin is not there.
